Pure vibe

Loved this hotel, and loved it even more with the wee pub joined on. If we ever come back to Edinburgh we will definitely be staying here, it’s such a vibe!!!

Grassmarket Hotel was wonderful. The location was very convenient and the restaurants in the area were terrific. My only negative comment would be the slippery shower floor. I would come again and would recommend it to other people.

The location is excellent, the room is tiny but well appointed. Comfortable bed. The hotel itself is in the old building, I had to walk a very long way before reaching the bedroom, including with two flights of stairs (elevator doesn’t reach there), so this won’t work for people with small children or walking difficulties. There’s a pub next door which can get noisy in the evenings.

Incredible staff and even better location. We were a little hesitant when we learned at check in that our room was directly above a pub that didn’t close until am, but, honestly, you would never know you were even remotely close to a pub, let alone directly above one. Room decoration was neat. The room and bedding were very clean. Definitely book here!

Stayed in 2 different rooms. Loved the feel and charm of both rooms. Word of caution, first room ceiling was very short so not for tall. This was not a problem for me. Second room had normal ceilings but bathroom had abad sewage smell, which is why the 4 star rating but would absolutely stay here over and over again.

Location of the property is excellent within walkable distance to popular sightseeing and in the shopping strips. Hotel providing free flow of coffee/tea, cappuccino, latte and hot water facilities are very good. Our room with reasonable size and very clean nice bathroom. However property lobby is very small looks more like a 2 stars hotel impression.
