Much nicer than the pictures!

This place was such a nice surprise! Really, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s much brighter and airier than it looks on the website. And the location was perfect – away from the touristy spots but with easy access to them and lots of small shops and restaurants. A colleague and I were there for a conference at the University of Edinburgh and were able to get to the University on foot every morning via a lovely walk. The neighborhood is really a place where people live – bikes and baby strollers in the hallway. Very safe. Ailson was wonderful and all the hotel linens sparkling. My colleague slept in the loft space, which has a door for privacy and he was very happy with it.

Great apartment in Edinburgh

This apartment was perfect for my family which included two teenager boys. One took the loft and the other took the sofa bed, so there was plenty of room for us. The apartment was very clean and all appliances were in good working order. Graeme and Ailsa were wonderful! They were very flexible with our arrival time, which we very much appreciated. The location is great. There is a lovely park and playground across the street which is great for families with children of all ages. We could easily walk to the Royal Mile, with Holyrood Palace about a 10 minute walk and Edinburgh Castle approximately a 25 minute walk. The bus is only a couple minutes away if you don't want to walk. Lots of nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again!

A nice place to stay for a night.

The unit was in a good neighborhood and felt very secure. The building was nice as were the surrounding buildings and park across the street. The only issue we had is at the owner moved the check-in time from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. after we had already made our arrival plans. He changed them approximately 4 days before our stay even though we had agreed on 2:00 p.m. at the time of booking. I did not see the message moving the check-in time until it was too late. This caused us to stand outside in the rain for quite some time because the cleaner had not yet finished and did not leave the unit until 4:30 p.m. it was frustrating for us to stand there with our bags in the rain. I recommend verifying the check-in time with the owner so that you don't end up in the same situation.

Good location for activities

Location very central to many sites. Within walking distance to Royal Mile, Arthur’s Seat & Holyrood. Lots of places to eat on Leith Way. Property was fairly small but that is expected in central city area. We didn’t spend much time there anyway with all the things to do. Just sleeping and showering and then off to the sites. That was all we needed.

Very close to downtown, host was so helpful and friendly

The very clean apartment had multiple thoughtful touches (umbrellas for rainy weather, a "pay it forward" bottle of whiskey for a wee nip of Scotland's finest, fresh milk and condiments in the kitchen, etc.) that made for a lovely "welcome." Having a washer/dryer was invaluable, the wifi was speedy, and the bed was quite cosy and comfortable beneath that (much needed) fluffy comforter. Communication with the owner was extremely prompt and very friendly/helpful. This is an older building, so there is no elevator/lift, and the apartment is on the third floor, so be ready to do some "heavy lifting" if you've brought bigger pieces of luggage on your trip. Other than that (and it's clearly not something the host could control), the experience was wonderful.

Perfect spot

This rental was perfect for our Edinburgh holiday. We could walk to the Royal mile or could easily catch any one of several buses. The place was bright with high ceilings and comfortable furniture. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. The kitchen was stocked with basics. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend this apartment to other travelers.

Schönes zentral gelegenes Apartment

Das Appartement liegt super zentral, wir konnten alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß innerhalb max 1/2 Stunde erreichen. Im Appartement ist alles da was man braucht, es ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. ruhige und doch zentrale Unterkunft

gemütliche und ruhig gelegende Unterkunft zwischen zwei Hauptstraßen mit vielen Buslinien und kleinen Supermärkten und Bäcker und Postamt. Man kann bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Es war immer erholsam, wieder in die ruhige Straße und die Wohnung zurückzukommen. Das Bett ist 1,40 m breit mit einer gemeinsamen Zudecke. Es kann aber eine weitere große Bettdecke genutzt werden oder das Sofa im WZ.Ausstattung ist sauber und im guten Zustand mit den üblichen kleinen Defekten, wie lockerem Wasserhahn oder wackeligem Stuhl. Man kommt mit der Buslinie airlink 300 direkt vom Flughafen nah an die Unterkunft heran (Easter Road). Alles im allem zu empfehlen trotz des nicht gerade geringen Preises.

Gemütliche Wohnung in zentraler, ruhiger Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und sehr sauber, auch prima eingerichtet (kein Abstellplatz für alte Möbel ;) ) auch die Küchenausstattung ist absolut ausreichend. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind um die Ecke, wie auch Bushaltestellen von mehreren Linien (Flughafenbus 300 ca. 200 m vom Eingang). Kontakt mit Vermieter und Verwalterin sehr nett. Beim nächsten Edinburgh-Trip sicher wieder erste Wahl.

Comfortable stay, very close to Arthur's Seat

We had a terrific three-night stay. The shower and bedding are great, and we appreciated having fresh milk and coffee available. It's a great location for exploring Edinburgh, especially since we were there for the weekend and could park our rental car for free across the street.

Exactly what we were looking for

The apartment was perfectly located and everything taken care of by the owner. Even came with wine and a cute snack! The nespressos were the ideal treat with the rising sun. We were happy to keep the blinds open and wake up to a bright room and view. I'd definitely stay here again. I can't believe what a deal this place was.

Perfect base for a city break

Stayed here with our boys (11 & 7) for four nights and had a fantastic holiday - Perfect as a base to explore the city, with easy access to everything by bus / walking. The flat is lovely and a cosy place to come back to relax in, after days out. Bus stops are just a few minutes walk away so you are in the city center very quickly. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

Just what we needed

Sunlight floods the property in the morning which helped to get us up and out exploring. The location was excellent. A bit of a walk from the major sites but not enough to warrant a taxi or bus. Yet enough to ensure we were in a quiet neighbourhood where we could get some sleep. The flat was a good size for 2 people, was clean and had many period features. The ability to save some money by doing groceries and making our own breakfast was great. We were able to come back at night and enjoy a glass of wine while planning adventures for the next day. If you don't mind being a little out of the way then this flat is perfect. Nothing is more than a 15-20 minute walk away.

The apartment was clean and served our purposes for the week. However, the stove did not work, so we could not really cook a meal. The washing machine and dryer were handy, but took me a while to figure out. Some more detail on the best way to work them would help. The prompt response to the leaking faucet was appreciated.

Great apartment!

The apartment is located across from a park so not a lot of street noises at night. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The drying rack in the bedroom was great for drying clothes very quickly if we left the window open. Would stay there again.

Fabulous

This property has all you need for a great break in Edinburgh.The apartment is in an easy to reach area of Edinburgh and. close to many great spots such as the Edinburgh Playhouse and The Stand Comedy Club. The flat had a warm and cosy feel to it and was fully equipped.Graeme provided a wealth of knowledge beforehand which proved very useful during our stay. So glad that I found this property.First visit and will not be my last.Highly recommend.
