Great location in Edinburgh
Pros:Great location in Edinburgh, close to The Royal Mile and the New Town shopping streets
Cons:They need to be more honest in their descriptions and photos.
The apartment was in a wonderful location... directly across the street from St. Andrews Square. Our balcony had a great view, although the tall walls made it difficult to see over them. The Military Tattoo was underway during our stay... you can see the Edinburgh Castle from our balcony, and we were rewarded with fireworks during the event.
The quality of the furnishings and construction were very nice... Lefroy Brooks and Crosswater London Bath furnishings.
The only problem we had, is that we did NOT get the room we reserved. We booked a Family Grand Apartment, that should have had (2) bedrooms and (2) King beds. We only had (1) bedroom and (1) king bed. There was a double sofa-bed in the living area, and a closet alcove with a single bed (with a curtain to separate it from the kitchen). While we had the bedspace we booked for, it was definitely NOT what we paid for. When I raised the issue with the front desk, they were adamant that we had the room we booked
Also, be very cautious about the photos that are shown on the website. Our unit did not look anything like the photos on the website. The photos of the green couches and curtains, and panelled walls, are apparently in the "Director's Suite" and not any of the "regular" rooms. So be very cautious.
We stayed in this property the last two nites our our UK trip, and it was supposed to be the nicest hotel of our vacation. It was not....
