We had such a lovely stay at The resident, we were there for a birthday and were surprised with balloons and a lovely card! Would definitely stay again, the facilities in the room are very handy and very well kept.
Couldn’t fault this hotel, staff made you feel very welcome. Rooms and lounge area was very clean and modern. The complimentary drinks were a lovely touch.. would definitely come back and would recommend to anybody visiting Edinburgh!
This is a unique stay. Therr are no food facilities on this property. The room was very small and it was difficult to move around, but the worst part was the heating, it was so hot it was like a sauna. Although we switched it off it kept coming on through the night making the room stifling phot. At check out the staff said they liked to work in a warm environment. So damn the fee paying guests.
We had a fabulous stay, from start to finish. Yasmin checked us in and was so lovely, welcoming and helpful. Our personal hand written welcome card was just such a lovely thing to receive. The location, decor and facilities were everything we could ask for. The room was super and the decor was lovely. There were a few hairs in our room, we particularly had to clean the TV remote control before use. We really loved our stay and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all the lovely staff we met. We are going to highly recommend the hotel to our friends and family. The only addition would be to possibly have links with a local car park for parking. But only just a minor suggestion. Thank you.
Fantastic stay, no complaints at all. Building itself is lovely and the rooms very comfortable. If you're as lucky as we were to get a room on the top floor at the front of the building you will also get some amazing views up over the firth of forth.
Staff were excellent as well, every single one of them couldn't do enough for us and are well deserving of praise.
Would definitely recommend this place and would be more than happy to stay there again on my next visit to Edinburgh
Staff were super friendly and extremely helpful with everything. We had our 5 year old with us and everything was provided. Super clean and very well organised. Special thanks to Ed who helped us with everything!
Nice modern hotel with good room facilities but make sure you bring snacks as there is no bar or restaurant which is pretty unusual. There’s a Sainsbury’s local and Greggs 5mins away but ideally wouldn’t have to nip out (and pay more) for it on a Sunday morning. No parking also a bit of a pain but we got lucky on the street outside. Corner end room on upper floor had super views of the castle.
Loved everything about this fabulous hotel, the thought that has been put into its development is faultless. The complimentary evening drinks in the library was the highlight of our stay.
Just wow, on arrival the staff behind reception were ever so helpful and friendly! We had a very early flight so arrived at the hotel early just to try drop bags off. To our excitement our room was already ready which we were absolutely chuffed about as we could get out and explore the beautiful city early. It’s in a lovely location where it’s not too busy and is within a short distance of Princes Street. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Edinburgh for a short trip. Simply fabulous.
