Pros-great mini bar, kind reception staff, room service Cons-overall poor -checked in and concierge didn’t deliver our luggage for over an hour. even had to call the desk to ask where, please? then they arrive with someone else’s luggage. it arrived on the second attempt about an hour fifteen minute past check in at the desk -our remote didn’t work and when we got room service we asked if they could help us get a remote. they said yes but nothing happened. Tbf, the remote started randomly the next day. -red head female bartender at bar downstairs low key rude ( -

I loved everything about the hotel and staff! They greeted us with a warm smile and hello from the moment we arrived and every time they saw us throughout our stay. The hotel is so interesting, unique, beautifully decorated, and has great guest accommodations. They provided a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, robes, slippers, bar soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, liquid hand soap, shower cap, razor, toothpaste and toothbrush, bottled water, sparkling water, tea set-up, coffee set-up and caramel/chocolate bars. There’s also a full mini-bar and the prices were the most reasonable I’ve ever seen. They also had plenty of power outlets and many standard USB ports. They brought a bucket of ice upon request. The beds were very comfortable and I give the pillows a solid B+ rating. We travel a LOT and most hotels, even the nice ones, have garbage pillows. Housekeeping did an Excellent job keeping our room stocked and tidy. They came twice a day, which I love. It’s nice coming back after walking 20k steps to a clean room with dim lights and curtains pulled. They also have a direct line to a local cab company at the front door, so grabbing a cab is a breeze. The restaurant, Eve, was delicious! We ordered it as room service for dinner one night. Needless to say, our stay was very comfortable and I would highly recommend it for the amenities, exceptional guest service, as well as location. We will return!

Perfect Place to Stay!

I love staying at this location in Edinburgh! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I had a room with a window view of the castle, and was able to enjoy lunch on the roof terrace while I was there. The location is perfect because it is quite easy to walk anywhere I want to go and access food and experiences.

Great Location

Perfect location. So many attractions and restaurants are walkable and it is on the bus line for everything else. The staff was amazing. The room was great; the bed was really comfortable. I just wished the shower had better pressure. We also enjoyed the bar, which participated in the Fringe Festival and had a show.

Nice hotel, convenient location, nice castle view, helpful staff, great breakfast buffet!! Reason I gave it 1 star and would never go back is the neighbor "underbelly cowgate" next door which is an open air nightclub that starts THROBBING Teckno music at midnight and does not close down till 5 am. You will hear thumping base notes all night long without more than a 20 second break! Find somewhere else to stay if you value your sleep.
