I wanted to love this hotel, I really did. It has a great location with amazing view. Iâm going to preface this review by saying that the hotel manager/reception manager was AWESOME and went above and beyond to help us and make us welcome. She is the only reason this gets an âokâ rather than a terrible.
The breakfast service was shocking. We sat for 40 mins. After ordering a simple breakfast with tea/coffee and juice/water, we sat though a comedy of errors where nothing was right.
My coffee arrived after 10 mins along with a fruit plate I said specifically I didnât want. A bowl of eight slices of stale bread pretending to be toast arrived. 15 mins after this my mumâs tea turned up without a lid on the pot and no milk. We sat for another 20 mins watching the assistant potter around and move dirty plates about, with no signs of breakfast arriving.
We gave up after 45 mins, and went to check out. As we left the hotel, the breakfast we ordered had still not been made, and there was no sign of the water and juice on the table either.
For a hotel that has been open just months, itâs fraying at the edges, much like the towels we were given, that were frayed, musty and stained. The room wasnât tidied either, so the towels we had purposely left in the âplease replaceâ position remained for us. We werenât allowed to leave until our room had been âinspectedâ. Iâm not sure what we were going to do to a room, but that was insulting after the experience we had here.
