Frog Pond Hollow is the magical escape you have been longing for. Nestled on a leafy hillside, up in the Blue Ridge mountains, it has a little something for everyone. Spend your days kayaking or canoeing around Frog Pond or swimming in the seasonal pool! Which is open from roughly April- October depending on the weather. Spend your evenings soaking in the hot tub or hanging out in the Harlem-themed game room complete with billiards, ping pong table, and dart board. These idyllic three acres can be the backdrop of your familyâs most memorable vacations.
Absolutely beautiful, serine, everyone had something to do. The hot tub and game room was a huge hit! While the kitchen was well stocked with all sizes of pots and pans, dishes and glasses! We felt right at home
We had a great time. There was so much to do at the cabin. It was very private and even had a perfect bedroom for a teen wanting to get some space away from the adults. I would definitely stay there again.
The cabin, pool, lake, and game room were a hit for all ages of our family. Property management was great about communicating when issue arouse(previous tenant caused a trash backup due to NOT following instructions). Kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking pond each day and there was plant of space indoors as well. Only things to improve would be a couple small things, one of the guest room fans didnât work, the pots and pans are small for a cabin fitting large families and made cooking tedious, and instructions for the showers may be a benefit as no one in our family had ever seen a shower system like those in the house and took a while to figure out how to take one, larger tvs for living room and game room would be a plus.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the pool was beautiful and clean!
We were able to relax and enjoy the property. The pond was very pretty and fun to take the kayak/canoe out to explore and fish. The mornings and evenings were very enjoyable and made for a beautiful, calm and peaceful atmosphere.
So, we booked the Frog Pond for the second year, assuming we would have the same experience as we had in 2022.
The house was great, lots of room. The AC worked fine. The pond was amazing. The "country internet" worked so-so. The hiking around the location was appreciated by our "foragers" who came back daily with bags of different mushrooms. Great meals, good kitchen. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable. So far, so good.
Thinking the kids would love the saline pool, even more, this year than last . . . we were sadly disappointed.
The pool was filthy when we arrived. "Supposedly" it is said to be cleaned once a week. I hope the house owners will review the service of their pool attendants. They did not show up during our stay. Each morning we had to use the net to get the frogs and all of the frog eggs out of the pool. On the first full day the kids caught a jar full of tadpoles, which they released in the pond. The last few mornings the saline pool was so filled with frog eggs that swimming was no longer an option, even after skimming the frog eggs out each morning. The water filtration system wasn't working. A text to the owners to get the pool cleaned and water circulating again got no reply. So, we enjoyed the pond and a day trip to Ellijay town.
Before booking, get some confirmation from the owners that the pool will be clean and in working order . . . IF you want to use the pool.
Summer 2022 was WONDERFUL. Summer 2023 was great . . . except for the pool.
it was a nice place with lots to do. Loved the pond and boats!!! Lots of room in the house! Pool table needs some tlc. kitchenđ was great...everything we needed.
Pool And hot tub were filthy. grass was not cut. Overall a great vacation! Love the area. Easy drive to cabin! But overcharged due to grass, pool, and hot tub! Not what we paid forđ„ or as advertised!!! Owners might try staying there under these conditions. I don't think they would be very happy!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Frog Pond. There's so much space in the house and the whole property is very private. We especially enjoyed using the kayak and canoe on the pond. We can't wait to visit again!
The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, the property manager was courteous and helpful (even in the late afternoon), and seclusion if the location was perfect for getting away with the family and having some good fun in the woods.
Absolutely loved it!
This was our 2nd visit we enjoyed the entire cabin. We were able to have all of our family there and do different acivities. We didn't leave the property for anything. This is definitely our home away from home even if it's just for a few days. Our hostess was the best especially when responding to my emails.
This house gave us exactly what we were looking for. The kids played in the pool all day and then spent the evenings in the basement gaming area. My wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the screened in porch.
This can be the perfect vacation spot, with so much to do. But it does need to be up dated. Broken furniture, grill etc. You have the perfect pond to fish in. Swimming pool and hot tub. Plus they have pool table & ping pong table. But the pool table needs new cue sticks & ping pong paddles are coming apart.
We greatly enjoyed our quick stay at Frog Pond Hollow. It's almost like a mini-resort in the mountains! The place itself is a destination -- there's so much to do. We had a blast canoeing and kayaking on the pond, swimming in the pool, lounging in the jacuzzi, playing pool and ping-pong in the basement, and appreciating the birds-eye views from the awesome tower room. We saw lots of deer and wild turkeys! The kitchen is well-stocked, and we discovered a brand new Dollar General that was super-convenient -- only 7-minutes away from the house! Amazingly, it has fresh vegetables and fruits and other healthy options (and lots of tasty unhealthy options too!), which was great. Brianna was quick to communicate and very accommodating. We had a lot of fun with all the amenities but happily indulged in a lot of rest and relaxation too. We felt fortunate and grateful to spend time at this terrific mountain escape.
Our kids and grandkids loved the lake, including the small island, and the pool. Great place for paddleboarding. Having the kayak and canoe got everyone involved. Great house layout. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
Went here for my 41st with some friends & family. It was one of my favorite rental spots yet and we have rented a lot of different cabins the last 8 years or so. Having a heated pool, hot tub and a pond will keep you in the water 12 hrs a day easily without ever needing to leave the property. Everything was very clean inside and out. They have done a great job updating the place. We had 2 people there working off the wifi for zoom meetings and calls and signal was fine for them. When they were by the pool working they needed to be on the closer end to the house for good signal but that was at least 50 ft outside and away from the router so that's excellent signal really. There is an old wifi you can connect to with the same password as the newer one that you are supposed to use so maybe people who said they had issues in the reviews were connecting to that one. Brianna was very easy to work with and quick to answer day or night. Gas station is only about 10 min from the cabin while everything else was more like 20 min. That's average for cabin houses as you can only go so fast through curvy mtn roads. The place is was very easy to find and get to with plenty of parking. We had 4 cars along with my truck and boat and could have easily gotten more cars in if needed. It was nice having easy access with a level driveway for my truck and boat. We plan on possibly renting this place again next year since it has everything we need in one spot. Highly recommend this place.
