Cute little place close to lots of restaurants. Nice clean basic room. A few minutes walk to the beach. Friendly owner recommended nearby amenities and helped me with questions. I’d recommend this place highly!

A Hidden Gem

The rooms were so sweetly decorated and very clean. We felt right at home, and both people we talked to were very friendly and kind. We would absolutely stay here again. It was a great stay for our family of four, but would be romantic for couples as well. You can't beat the location, and the price was very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and check out the Leucadia Beach inn!

Cute and convenient to the beach

Small and cozy spot close to many restaurants and the beaches. It was great to have a kitchenette for cooking. Very đŸ¶ friendly too. Only issue was the constant traffic and train noises but I'm sure that's the same case with all the hotels on the highway.

So many reasons to enjoy staying here!

This was my second time staying at this lovely location for a week. I love the simple kitchen it provides, the sound of running water right outside my door, the bed was the BEST. So comfortable and just an overall feeling of clean. Management really makes an effort to make sure you are happy. Great restaurants or local market just around the corner in walking distance. I had a wonderful stay at Leucadia Beach Inn and look forward to my next stay!

Nice location but a bit outdated.

Nice location but old hotel. A bit outdated and needs someTLC. Train running right across the street with a horn blowing intersection nearby certainly didn’t offer a good nights sleep. Rate was good but will try another property next time.

A perfect hotel for our family! We went to Legoland but wanted to stay somewhere offsite - we loved walking to the cafes etc. A very cute area and clean, sizable room! Highly recommend.

I did not realize this is our 3rd time staying here! It has always been our 1st choice when around San Diego. The kids love the cleanliness, simplicity and South Ponto beach is like 3minutes away. The room we were in was bigger and i guess newly renovated. Thanks to the front office who accomodated us and understood our situation. Staff are great they give you privacy. Appreciate you Sir. Very clean, It has been well maintained. A lot of parking spaces nearby in case you are late to park inside the property. The train noise did not bother us. A lot of places to eat nearby. Thank you again and we will definitely come back. Well recommended.

If you want to cook - that’s your inn.

Very good location. Clean. Small. Nice people at a front desk. Big trains woke me up at around 11 pm and then again at 11:20 pm. Could not sleep for another hour.

It’s a good location, affordable, the hotel is cute and all 
.but my queen bed was very sunken in — I just dealt with it because no vacancy
 but the third night Sunday afternoon found about 6 -7 ants crawling ON my sheets and comforter! after we came back being out all day! Mind you we were very careful not eating on the bed or in the room. We had leftovers from restaurants in the fridge but why ants on my bed and not going to a fridge? And a few ants in the bathroom? ? Needless to say I stayed on my moms bed the last night even though they sprayed the room and offered new sheets it made me feel uneasy.. we wish we were offered a discount for the ant problem the last night because who would feel comfortable sleeping in that bed after seeing that ?

Slightly disappointing

I wish I had a more positive review. This trip was highly anticipated and I looked forward to a relaxing stay. I got an email before arrival saying to call if I was going to check in after 3pm because staff wouldn’t be there after 5. I called, no answer. I emailed back and got a reply later. I checked in about 3:30pm. The lady who checked me was very kind and helpful. The parking situation was tight and crowded, but perhaps this is CA in general. The room was ok. No paper towels for a room with a kitchen in it. The next morning I asked if there was recycling. The man behind the counter was rude, referred to me as my room number, and directed me across the court yard-all while on the phone. The train wasn’t a bother, but loud other guests were, especially with how tight of a space it is. The man was rude again at check out-“is that it?” When I handed in my key. They don’t clean your room or make your bed either and I was there for 5 nights. The shower area was tiny, difficult to move around in. It felt suffocating at times when you could hear the room next to you, the restaurant next to you, and the street/train. I don’t know if I’d book here again.

Soooo clean. I actually took a bath in tub, no dust in corners, everything you need, 1st class soft sheets, towels, beautiful shutters. Fresh smelling without chemical smell. Only issue was bed dipped in middle and not that comfortable in spite of cushioning efforts. Maybe just that room.
