Bien pour une nuit

Bon petit motel pour passer la nuit chambre propre et spacieuse. Bon accueil, par contre pas de petit déjeuner comme indiqué sur le site

We walked into our room at 10 pm, number 17 two weekends ago, and walked into, no less, than 100 sewer flies all over the room. Called the front desk and waited 30 minutes for maintenance to tell us that ‘yeah he knew that there was a problem, but don’t know what’ My husband said right away ‘there’s no P-trap in the shower’. We requested sheets and pillowcases because there were flies all over the bed . We went in in office in the morning, asked to see the manager, and the girl said that she was out of town. I said we would like to request a partial refund. This is unacceptable, gross, I could barely sleep and didn’t take a shower, and the girl said “well if you need to take a shower, I can put you in another room to do that’. I said ‘we’re checking out today as planned’. Never heard from the manager and when our travel agent called, they said Steelhead denied any refund at all saying that I was offered another place to stay and declined it. The girl flat out lied and yet still haven’t heard from the owner. We have been staying there for years and deserve better than this as a customer.

I stayed because they have a heated pool advertised. We checked in in 6/19 and stayed for 2 nights. Upon checking in I asked to cancel due to the pool not being open. They said I couldn’t. We went to our room. The tv didn’t work. There was no lightbulb in the lamp. The beds were so soft and the springs were poking through. The pillows were so soft. We had to climb over the bed to get to the fridge. The tv was reprogrammed and would randomly shut off and change stations. The shower didn’t drain and the toilet didn’t flush. I would not stay here!!

I inquired about late check-in because we were driving in from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The front desk associate said they would leave the motel room door unlocked with they key inside. This made us very uncomfortable because it's very unsafe. My mother paid for the room for this reason and asked for a refund but was denied. When we arrived to the motel room, it was dirty and unclean. There were people hanging outside the rooms and drinking and smoking. The property felt unsafe. We left the property and went somewhere else for the night. I really would like for my mom to get her money back.

Stayed a property for the night. I came back to room late and when I went for a shower, I realized there was no towels in my room. Nor was there toilet paper. There was dirt in the corner of the bathroom and the one duvet cover on the bed had a stain. Person next to me was smoking and could smell it in my room and hear them coughing all night. The staff was very pleasant but the place needs cleaned better and room that have supplies like toilet paper and shower linen.

4 total trips with 50/50 good and bad reviews

The first time that we stayed here, it was good. The room was stocked and clean and check in was a breeze. The second time, we had people screaming and cussing each other out in the parking lot in the middle of the night. The TV in the room that we were in didnt work and they said that they would fix it but never did. We had to ask for towels multiple times and the dirty sheets from the prior guests were still on the floor in the room. The following week we came up again and a friend of ours got the same room as we had for the second trip and complained of people screaming at each other and fighting in the middle of the night. The TV was also still not fixed. Our room was better that trip so we gave it one more go this past weekend. The room was dirty. The sheets had hair all over them, the pillows had hair and spots (orange/brown blood like color) on them, there were medical tape chunks on the inside of the bathroom door frame with what looks like blood under them. There was no remote for the AC/fan/heating unit so we had to get a step stool from our vehicle to turn the heat on. We stayed here because we needed a place to sleep and shower and that was pretty much it. We leave the room before light to fish and dont return until well after dark so we don't need anything fancy but this time was enough. We will be finding somewhere else from now on. I don't like to be the person to leave negative reviews but some things are just too much to ignore.

A nice little place

Room was comfortable and clean, it also has a microwave and mini-fridge. Staff was excellent and friendly.

Our first room was nice inside, but the walls are thin and the guy next to ours had their TV on really loud so late, so we asked if we could move. Then the took us to another room next to a lady who had a dog, then they thought that was not a good idea, so the took us to another room which seems nice as well, but then more problems started. There was a group of guys outside two rooms down carrying on to all hours of the night. I was concerned about saying anything to them because they were loud and they were talking about some bad things. At 2:30 am I was awakened with laughing and loud talking outside. then they quited down. then at 4:30 am more loud noises and loud talking. Then at 6 am a tow truck arriving in front of our room making loud noises. Just as the sun came up, the group of guys left and the party was over. The motel should not have allowed this to happen. I didn't want to say anything to them because of fear of retaliation and possible vandalisim of my car. We did not feel safe and it was not worth it at all. I DO NOT recommend staying here.
