Nestled one street back from Castletown beach, Folktales Rest is a Tasmanian built cottage- style tiny home perfect for couples or inspired travellers looking for a luxury retreat. Experience the timeless beauty of Folktales with her rustic charm and old world character. Relax in the deep claw foot bath tub or laze on the comfy lounge for some down time.

Please kindly note Folktales is not suited for children or pets with the design of the property and the nature of our delicate furnishings.

Folktales also has stairs with a loft style master bedroom (not full standing height) that may not suit mobility restrictions. Please consider this before booking.

Please note you`ll need to walk up stairs to a loft bed, if you have mobility issues this may not be for you.

We have a wood fire, if you are not familiar or comfortable with using a fireplace, please use the air conditioning and heat pump instead.

Folktales Rest is 1 street away from the beach, on a nice evening you can hear the ocean waves with the window slightly ajar (suitable only on a night without wind).

Photoshoots are by prior arrangement and at an additional cost.

We are designed to house two adults in our tiny home and are not suitable for little ones.

Pets and Animals:

Whilst we love animals, please note we cannot accomodate pets.

Quiet Enjoyment:

Folktales rest is tiny stay for two, please respect our place by refraining from having parties or extra guests.

Cleaning:

Leave the bed unmade, no need to strip them.
please wash the dishes and leave them to dry on the drying mat (found under the sink)
Check all doors and windows are closed when leaving.
