THE SPACE The one bedroom retreat was recently carved out of the main house and features bamboo flooring and a deck with a lovely view of the Coburg hills in the distance. A beautiful reclaimed wood beam with cedar trim separates the kitchen from the living room. The space and surrounding neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There are chickens in the backyard that can be seen from the deck of the retreat.
PARKING/ENTRANCE You may park your vehicle on the street next to the driveway for easiest access to the retreat. The private entrance to the retreat is located at the bottom of a large cedar staircase on the left side of the house. Walk down the stairs and enter the gate into the backyard to find the entrance.
KITCHEN Organic whole bean coffee and tea are provided in the kitchen. There is a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and 2 induction burners for cooking. Please note that there is no oven other than the small toaster oven.
BEDROOM The bedroom has a Queen size bed with 3in Memory Foam Topper. The soft cotton and bamboo sheets are soft and comfortable. We receive comments all the time about how this is the most comfortable bed people have ever slept in.
LIVING ROOM The living room has a little entry way to hang coats and take off your shoes. Please do not wear your shoes in the suite. The television has basic cable, an Amazon Fire stick for online movies, VCR and DVD player. There is a selection of DVD movies provided. Free streaming services include Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus and Discovery Plus. There is a selection of DVD movies provided. The sectional couch turns into a queen size bed with sheets and blankets provided in the storage underneath the chaise section. The couch bed is soft yet firm - not like a traditional fold out couch with metal bars under your back. More linens and towels are available in the hallway closet.
BATHROOM Full bathroom with a single sink, bathtub and shower.
DECK Enjoy the views of the trees and hills from the wrap-around deck. The sun rises over the Coburg hills in the distance in the summer time, making the patio table a welcoming spot for morning tea or coffee.
PARKING Parking is on the street because the driveway is very steep. Please park on either side of the driveway.
Stayed for family weekend of UO. We werenât at the house too much, but it worked out great. The backyard was very nice and scenic. House was clean and Greg was very responsive.
The property had a musky smell on the inside. The walls were very thin and we heard a lot of noise from the other unit- vacuuming, walking, bedtime activities after hours. It was very awkward with my daughter next to me.
The location was great and the home was clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive and accommodating, Greg took good care of my families needs and addressed an issue that came up during our stay rapidly and fairly. I would recommend this property and would stay here again for another Duck game!
Cozy quiet accommodations in a great neighborhood, convenient to Eugene. Really enjoyed our stay! We would absolutely return here and will consider it for our next trip.
The access might be problematic for some -- the driveway slopes downhill, and there are stairs going down to the apartment, making carrying things in and out a little dicey.
We had a nice stay. There were only a couple of issues that we didnât bother much with since we were always busy. The WiFi /Tv never worked and the driveway to walk down was slippery.
Cute little lockoff in a nice neighborhood. Perfect for 2 people. Quiet. 10 min to U of O. Only thing to note, if you like/need a firm bed this is not the place for you.
One of my daughters was performing in an aerial arts competition in Eugene. Not sure if this is normal, but the cost of a hotel stay in or near Eugene was ridiculously expensive for our planned weekend. Fortunately we found this small rental. It was quiet, nicely decorated and with a kitchenette with the basics. It was in a nice neighborhood away from the homelessness in the valley and congestion of the university. The rental was quaint but comfortable. It had everything that we needed for a short stay. The only negative was the hide-a-bed futon bed thing. The ad says the rental sleeps 4. In the rental, we found a king bed and this futon couch thing, which was small and not comfortable for an adult. It might be fine for young kids ten or under, but not for teens or adults. Otherwise, we enjoyed our brief stay and the price was very reasonable.
My daughter and I stayed here for a few days while visiting Eugene. The location is convenient although we thought we would walk more, we ended up driving everywhere. The house is located in a safe, quiet, very nice location.
