Glamping is combining both yesterdayâs amenities and todayâs technology. Also called boutique camping or luxury camping. The shepherdâs hut (or shepherdâs wagon) was used from the 15th Century and into the 20th Century by shepherds during sheep raising and lambing, primarily in the United Kingdom and France. Shepherdâs huts often had iron wheels and corrugated iron tops. Sometimes the sides were also made of corrugated iron. Use of shepherdâs huts by farmers reached a peak in the late 19th Century and dwindled in the 20th century with the advent of mechanised farm machinery and electric power reaching even remote farms. Their use persisted in some northern counties of England and Scotland particularly Westmoreland , Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Our Shepherdâs hut combines tradition and luxury it has a very luxurious double bed with Egyptian cotton bedding and storage underneath. The kitchen area has a small butler sink with hot and cold running water, a storage cupboard and a two ring hob with grill and oven, full size fridge and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a fold down table with two chairs, a small log burning stove. There is a feeling of calm for people to de-stress chill out and relax. TV and free Wifi There is also a table and chairs for dining outside the hut.
Free Wifi and and luxury coffee :)

We stayed three nights and cooked every evening for ourselves. The hut has everything to feel comfortable. Checking in and out went very smoothly, very friendly.
From Templehall we made two hikes: to St Abb's Head and to Eyemouth (see Wikiloc). If you want rest and privacy, this is the place!
Really lovely little hut with stunning views. Ever bit of space has been utilised to it's fullest. Great for a couple of nights away, longer may have been tricky as no where to put clothes in the huts but space under the bed for cases etc. Loved sitting outside with fire pit when weather permitted. Owners were on hand if needed.
What a great surprise this wonderful Shepherds hut was, equipped to a very high standard, the owner, Andrew, was always available and extremely helpful.
The location is set near some of the most breathtaking scenery we had seen.
Highly recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights. We were greeted by Andrew who kindly showed us round the hut. There was everything you needed for a pleasant stay. We walked a short distance to the village for a meal and drink. Would definitely visit again. Thank you again
We had a wonderful weekend in this lovely cabin, much like an old gypsy caravan. It was spotless and beautifully decorated. Perfect for a cosy weekend for two. Views of the sea from the cabin and a short 5 minute walk to the village of Coldingham. Great pub food, local lobster especially good. Our host Andrew was very helpful and friendly throughout, texting us to check arrival time so he was on hand to let us in. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
