The Village House – Historic Charm in the Heart of Flat Rock

Welcome to the Village House, a fully renovated 100-year-old home that blends vintage character with modern comfort. Centrally located in Flat Rock, you’ll be just minutes from Hendersonville, Saluda, Brevard, Greenville, and Asheville.

The home is designed to accommodate a variety of groups, sleeping up to 14 guests in beds with 3 full bathrooms.

True Retreat

We had a church ladies’ retreat there and loved our stay- the house was beautiful both inside and out. We loved making a fire in the fire pit and the 2 porches for relaxing outside. Inside we enjoyed spacious bathrooms and kitchen and comfy beds. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Perfect spot for a getaway

My family and some friends gathered for the weekend for fellowship and rafting the Saluda River. It was the perfect spot for our stay from the large upstairs room that accommodated 7 teenagers to the large fire pit outside where we enjoyed s’mores. Would definitely go back!

We have stayed at three different VRBO properties and this was the best.

We loved everything about this home and the property. There were no issues with anything and we would love to stay here again. The owner was very responsive and helpful with all transactions and communications. We loved the fact that the house is 100 years old but lives and functions like a contemporary home

Absolutely Amazing!

We had an incredible time. We stayed here before our daughter's wedding. This precious home had everything we needed to be a "Home away from Home". We all talked about how special it was to be together. It even had a Christmas tree for the holiday. I give this a A++++. Excellent place to stay!!!

Village House

Wonderful stay at the Village House! Family enjoyed being under one roof with plenty of sleeping space upstairs for the 5 kids. Essentially across the street from the Flat Rock Playhouse and minutes from Hendersonville. The fire pit was a popular spot in the evening for the kids and adults.Thanks!

Beautiful house with awesome interior!!

We came here for our parents' funeral in Flat Rock. The house was beautifully decorated, and everyone felt at home. The kitchen and front porch were the best part of the house. The backyard with a fire pit helped my family have quality time and share our parents' memories. Thank you so much for the lovely time.

We enjoyed our stay in the property had everything we needed. From the listing, I thought it was a little more rustic so I was disappointed when it was on a main road in the backyard is not as private as it appears in the picture. We still enjoyed the fire pit and all of the fun outdoor amenities. On the upside. It was a very convenient property to get to all the local attractions.

Family - Celebration of Life

My siblings, their spouses and 2 sons all came together in Hendersonville to celebrate the life of one of our sisters. This home provided a wonderful place to stay and talk about family memories. The fire pit was wonderful the evening following our sister's kids celebration they had put together. There was plenty of room. The location was wonderful. It is on a pretty busy street but that was easy to overlook based on the comforts of the home. I would stay again for sure!

Family Vacation '23

For some of us, it was our first time to the North Carolina "mountains". We were blown away by the lush beauty of the area. The house was perfect! The charm and coziness of a 100 year old house with all the modern amenities and comforts one might need. The porch was one of my favorite places to drink coffee and even roll out my yoga mat for some stretching. The backyard accommodated our badminton net and our game of Kubb. Loved the firepit for evening smores! Location was perfect for all the towns and attractions we wanted to see in - Asheville, Saluda, Brevard, Hendersonville. Our hosts were very easy to reach and very responsive. We would love to visit again one day!

Wir hatten einen rundum wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem sehr gut ausgestatteten Haus. Wir konnten abends am Lagerfeuer sitzen, in der sehr gut ausgestatteten KĂŒche kochen und auf der Schaukel auf der Veranda sitzen. Wir waren 11 Personen und hatten ausreichend Platz um zusammen an dem ausziehbaren Tisch zu essen. Wir haben auch sehr gut geschlafen.Das Haus liegt an einem Highway, aber das stört nicht, da der Garten nach hinten geht.

Wouldn’t change a thing. The house handled our family of 10 perfectly. Kitchen well stocked, beds very comfortable, the front porch, back deck and back yard were perfect fir lots of outside time together. So charming and well detailed. The fire pit is amazing
