What a pleasant stay at Hotel Villa Betania! Great location, friendly and accommodating staff, clean and beautiful room, very well maintained grounds and building, wonderful breakfast, and just enough distance to be in the city but away from the over crowded tourist foot traffic of city center. I highly recommend staying here.

Good place to stay with your family (nice and quiet rooms) and to park if you have a car, but note it is a 25 minute walk to the main areas. However you can take a taxi, the drink desk can call it or download the local taxi app (you cannot drive into the main areas if you don’t have a permit). Overall a good choice.

Excellent Hotel Florence

Everything about this Hotel was Great !. Lovely Setting and 2 ways to walk into Town both providing a Great Walk with Great views of the City. Only a 10 minute Bus ride from the River in Florence. In my view much better than staying in the City Centre during the main season - May - October. The Staff were really friendly and Helpful. Breakfast Fresh and Fantastic !.

Only giving a 4 instead of a 5 for a few reasons. We didn't have breakfast so can't attest to how good it is. The shower was somewhat difficult to use due to the shower head not wanting to stay still. With that said it's in a good location pretty close to a bus stop which takes ~25 minutes to get to the tourist area or a 45 minute walk mostly downhill.

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, gave us good recommendations for restaurants and places to go. Breakfast was delicious! The hotel itself was average, not worth the price in our opinion. Our shower drain was clogged and water pooled in the corner of our bathroom. The walls are thin, we could hear other guests. It’s a beautiful property, but we probably wouldn’t stay again.

Florence is a beautiful city, and because of that it can get quite a bit crowded with tourists. Hotel Villa Betania was a welcome respite at the end of each day to take a break from all the crowds and relax in a quieter neighborhood that still offered many great restaurants, gelaterias and things to do. We can't say enough about how wonderful the entire staff was, from the front desk that helped us with all our questions, reservations, taxi and tour needs, to the wonderful person that made our breakfast every morning (we miss our freshly baked croissants and cappuccinos so much!). Thank you Villa Betania, for making our stay feel so much like a second home!

Beautiful villa- unfortunately rooms are poorly maintained. We tried showering and the water pressure was non- existent. The tub was poorly repaired. The room was overall staid. In addition, The hotel is not staffed 24 hours so if you need assistance there's no one there to help. I would never go back.

Nice, historic villa. Good sized rooms, everything worked but the air conditioner, which is very weak and could only get the temp from 28 to 27 after running for hours _ in the end we took our chances w the mosquitos and opened the window. Do not book this place when it is hot outside. A suggestion - a cheap $20 fan woukd have been great to have i the room. Also, mosquito nets should be installed on the windows, again, inexpensive but very useful when the AC does not work. Other than the AC not working, making for terrible discomfort when it's hot - the place is amazing.

The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to downtown Florence. Breakfast was also acceptable. Our room was renovated and clean but extremely uncomfortable. The sitting area and bathroom were on the first floor and bedroom was upstairs. The ventilation was so poor that we had to leave the first floor windows wide open at night but they didn't have mosquito screens and we got tortured by mosquitos all night. We asked to be relocated but they said they were all booked. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but the drain cap was missing and they refused to provide us with one so we couldn't use the bathtub. The building is not equipped with elevator and the receptionist who showed us our room on the second floor, didn't offer to help us with our heavy luggage.

Sarvario was AMAZING! He made us feel welcome and comfortable. If we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable, he got it for us. He gave us all the information we needed to know about transportation and finding the best spots to eat. This property was clean and smelled good. The gates were closed at certain times of the night so I guess that helps with security. It’s uphill so if you’re walking, you’ll definitely get those quad muscles without even trying 😂. It’s about 10-25mins of a walk from nice restaurants. It is a 5-7minw walk to bus stops on either side. Downside is: - if you’re not driving, it’s a long walk from the gate to the building entrance. - The ground all stones so if you’re wheeling a box, it’s even harder. - Breakfast buffet was hella expensive. - Mosquitoes are outside because it has natural vegetation (inside, they have a wallflower that smells great and repels mosquitoes), so you’ll be fine. In all, I’d stay here again!
