Nothing is Perfect

but, this is as close as it gets! the pictures in the listing do not do this apartment justice; it is so much nicer. 2 levels of near perfection on the first floor with views of the church, children walking to school and tourists meandering around. my only criticism, if even one, is that screens in the windows to keep the mosquitos out would make this a 10 out of 10 apartment to rent

Wonderful apartment!

Stayed in Florence for one month and enjoyed every minute in this superb flat. Every amenity that we needed and we loved our location..Piazza Santa Croce is full of activity which makes for great people watching out the large double windows, but is about ten minutes away from the big crowded areas. Gianna and Umberto were extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable and I highly recommend Madison Alighieri

A Long and Lovely Stay in Piazza Santa Croce

The apartment was great, spacious and quiet while overlooking the bustle of Piazza Santa Croce. Everything was spotlessly clean and Gianna was very welcoming although my arrival was slightly delayed. I stayed 5 weeks and found the location perfect for exploration of all areas of the city!

Great location but had issues

We booked a VRBO property half-way thru the trip soley to do laundry. So I searched only properties with washing machine. We get there and the owner said the washing machine was broken. We were given 1 towel each (4 guests) to use for 4 days....no way to wash the towels either. When I asked the owner for more towels, she wanted to charge 40 Euro per day for clean towels. We had to check in to a hotel for the remainder of our time in Florence. It was very inconvenient and more expensive.

Perfect location

The two of us really enjoyed this spacious VRBO overlooking the Santa Croce plaza! Seemed less crowded than center town and we were able to walk everywhere very easily. Gianna, the manager, was very kind, easy going, and quick with text responses to our questions. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend it to everyone!

Fabulous Firenze Apartment

My family of five adults had a wonderful stay in this apartment right on Piazza Santa Croce. Location could not have been any better! Super clean, comfy, incredible view and convenient to all the main attractions in Florence. We walked everywhere. Communication with property manager was great! Loved it all!

The apartment was just as described and very clean. It’s location is convenient to get to all the major sites. They recommended great restaurants, grocery store is very close and Santa Croce church is beautiful inside and out.

I was in Florence for 6 weeks completing my masters degree. I could not have asked for a more comfortable abode! Great air conditioning, roomy shower, lovely primary bedroom that was very quiet, ENORMOUS amounts of storage for clothes. In Piazza Santa Croce where I could go visit Michelangelo whenever I felt like it. Able to walk all over from home base. House cleaning available for extended stays at a really reasonable price. Can not recommend enough!

Lovely stay in a beautiful Italian city

The host was very helpful and thoughtful. She was quick to respond to questions too. We weee located on the square of Santa Croce so we had a constant view of the beautiful basilica!! The space was very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent property. Close to all the sites like Duomo, etc. we would highly recommend for a family of four. Very friendly manager and she gave us great restaurant recommendations. The pizza restaurant called IL Pizzaaoula was the best pizza we had ever and great service. Also, there is a fantastic coffee shop with delicious pastries right across the square.
