HISTORICAL NOTE In the Renaissance, Via delle Terme was full of paintersâ workshops. The apartment is situated in a former noblemanâs palace and is protected as a historical building by the Commune of Florence. The property originates from the early 1400s and became property of the Altoviti family from 1448. It was acquired by Uberto di Francesco Deâ Nobili in 1485. The entrance of the building is large and spacious with a lovely staircase that gives access to the first floor. The interior is furnished with antique furniture: from the 1600s there is the church pew situated in the entrance, the kneeler in the bedroom and the pear wood dresser in the dining room. The bedroom door has a precious Turinese glass window from the 1800s; the small glass cabinet is English. The refectory table from the 1500s, in the living room, is the oldest piece of furniture.

The flat is in an old building from 14st century with some furnitures of that âepoqueâ, comfortable with charming decoration, and nice painting and colored glasses for the interior door to the main bedroom. Location is premium perfect at 200m of ponte vecchio and silent. This no real view from windows but at same time we didnât really miss it as we were outside in the day and felt good in our appartment in the morning and the evening. The car parking was an issue with expensive places in the street- recommendation is to use a cheaper place at 20/30 min walking distance.
Stayed here with another couple. Excellent property and terrific hosts / check in / communications. Flat is as described. Great central location. Thanks for hosting us.
The property was good, certainly, but what stood out was the owners help in finding help getting a taxi during a strike when we were so worried about getting home. She made the transition happen! Exactly what a good host should do. Many thanks.
Stayed with 4 adults and three children. We all slept comfortably. The location was amazing! Dora was absolutely wonderful and check in and very helpful. Highly recommend their list of restaurants, they were amazing! Overall, just a fantastic experience!
Wonderful old flat an easy walk to everything. Hvac was strong and worked well which was a nice surprise given the extreme heat when we were there.Parking was separate and expensive (45 euro per day) but right next door.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzetto dei Nobili apartment. The hostess checked us in which was a nice touch and showed us around the apartment. It was an expansive apartment with two spacious bedrooms separated by a big common room. It felt like we were staying at a Italian friend's home which was what any visitor would hope for. It was decorated many lovely antiques and collectibles. It was extremely hot in Florence this June for our standards so we were grateful to have air conditioning at the apartment. We also appreciated how they had a 'manual' in the apartment on how to work things (washing machine, a/c etc), rules etc.You are centrally located to all the attractions Florence has to offer - Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo. And the street itself has a smattering of great restaurants to choose from. Also close to the fancy shops too if you like to check those out.Only downside would be the steep stairs (no elevator) and the towels could use a refresh; otherwise, it was truly a fabulous time and I highly recommend.
Such a magical place! We felt as if we were stepping back in time at Palazzetto dei Nobili! The accommodations were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was just amazing to stay in such a lovely place and it is evident that the hosts care about the details. Perfect location as well. It was just perfect!
I spent 9 weeks at Palazzetto dei Nobili. I cannot imagine a better location or accommodation! I was less than 15 minutes from all of the main sites in Florence as well as the train station. I was able to host family & friends. It was easy walking to dozens of great restaurants as well as 10 minutes to grocery store, and only 3 minutes to church with English mass. I am extremely grateful to have been able to stay there and enjoy a short time in Italy. If I get a chance to return I will book again!
We loved everything about the apartment. Charming, clean, comfortable. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Location is just minutes from everything we wanted to see. Super safe. Even umbrellas incase rain and it did one day. Honestly if you want a perfect vacation in Florence book it asap.
My husband and I stayed here with our daughter. I would say the place is old and delicate. When you enter the building there is a sewer smell. The lady at check in said to drink bottled water. The master bed was very comfortable, but shower is a little tight to a glass wall. The other bedroom is very dark and creepy. The second bathroom shower was extremely small. There are NOT three bedrooms like the listing says. There is a couch in an open room between the second bedroom and the living room. The couch/chairs in the living room werenât very comfortable either. I wouldnât recommend this apartment for a family. It would be only comfortable for a couple. The location is the best part about it.
The property is comfortable and convenient for walking around the city. We would have appreciated more paper goods for the bathrooms and more clarity about the number of bedrooms ( advertised as 3 but was only prepared for 2). Isabella was wonderfully helpful with getting a taxi at the end of our stay.
The location was perfect - right downtown. Property was clean but the lobby smelled terrible. Beds were ok and the guest bathroom needs to be updated. Hosts were great people
The apartment was conveniently located near all the downtown restaurants and shopping. The hosts arranged ground transportation for us to and from the airport. The apartment was well furnished and decorated. The WiFi worked great!
We stayed with our son for a few days, check-in with Cecilia was great, she walked us around then told us to read the guess book. After that it was very difficult to communicate with her or anyone for that matter. We had issues with hot water, took hours for a response that was no help. Asked to check out at which they changed by 15 minutes when ask to make sure they werenât late, was told she would make it. To just leave the keys. Then I know our fault for leaving some thing behind(my passport) but after several attempt to message and call with hours of no answers making us miss our Train. I had to wait hours to hear from anyone then more time to wait to get back in to get it. We were not happy with the management at all.
The apartment in Florence was amazing! Exactly as advertised, large spaces, excellent location. Very quiet and close to everything. Cecilia was an incredible host, very accommodating. Can't wait to return!
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a shower drain that overflowed and had at best 5 minutes of hot water available. The second shower in this apartment is not appropriately sized for an adult, it may be big enough for a child to use. Although the shower drain was âfixedâ it continually flooded the bathroom afterwards (to be fair, to a smaller degree). In addition, the alleyway outside of the apartment is extremely loud in the early morning and late night hours, especially in the master bedroom.
The location was great and it was nice to be within walking distance of all attractions.
However, we would not recommend this property to others.
Amazing place. Wonderful hosts. Location is excellent - within 10-15 minutes walk of almost everything you'd want to see in Florence. The apartment was quite spacious for 5 of us. Beautiful old style, which is what we wanted. Two flights of stairs which is fairly standard most places in Italy. Air conditioning worked great. Second bathroom is fairly small, but still functional. The master bedroom had a window with a view of other buildings on a small alley - which was nice. The only downside was that we did hear a couple of work carts rattling through the alley around 5am each morning. But in some ways it was part of the experience - it's the heartbeat of Florence, with vendors and businesses getting ready for the day. We would absolutely stay here again!
