Welcome to Wayward Whims! This classic 3BR/3BA Folly Beach cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests and is right on the beach! Located on the 15th block of the island's East Side, guests enjoy a more relaxing, family-oriented, and laid-back portion of the island. With unobstructed ocean views and beach access in every direction, you will be more than happy with this home!

This property is all on one level and features a large oceanfront screened-in patio, hardwood floors throughout, and remodeled kitchen and bathroom.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25-minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
Pet not allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, are prohibited
The occupancy can be at most eight people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.

Comfortable and perfectly located property

This home is right on the water. The walk to the beach is just a short deck extension off the back and the surf was ideal being so close to The Washout. The home itself was extremely comfortable. The living room area is relatively small, but the screened-in deck adds nice additional hang out room and having a whole hall along the back with three separate bedrooms and two baths really give each guest a sense of privacy. There are TVs in each room. There’s no adjoining bathroom to the master bedroom but it was never missed. There are closets and drawers in each bedroom and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking needs including spices, aluminum foil, etc. There’s an outside shower as you come in from the beach and a full bathroom under the house, which is idea for bathroom needs without tracking sand in the house! The house smells and feels clean. It was the perfect getaway for my family if 5 (2 adults and 3 teens). Downtown Folly is about 15 blocks away, which was a fun golf cart ride. We can recommend this home enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Relaxing Beach Getaway

Beautiful and comfortable home right on the beach! Great location. Close to restaurants, pickle ball courts, and the Morris Island nature preserve. We enjoyed starting and ending each day by sitting on the screened in porch.

Perfect Folly Beach vacation house!

We loved the simplicity of this house directly on the beach. It was very clean and comfortable with a kitchen that included an impressive collection of cookware and dishes you don’t always find in a rental. Check-in was easy, check-out required only a few requirements. Communication texts were helpful and appreciated. And the screened porch was the perfect space to enjoy sunrises and sunsets. It was a great visit!.

Fantastic Beachfront Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute beachfront home. The home itself was perfect for our group and very clean. The screened in porch was amazing and the short walk across the private boardwalk to the beach couldn't be beat. One small cleaning issue but the management company was very quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay here again... and well, plan to!

Wonderful wayward whims

Great family beach week. This place is smack dab in the beach. You can enjoy it all day long with lugging the cooler and tents. Wonderful porch. It isn’t real big but works perfect for a group of 8 or less. You are away from the crowds by the pier but still an easy bike ride or short drive to center street. Loved it

Beach Holiday Getaway

Our stay was so peaceful! The best part was listening to the waves as we drifted off to sleep. The house was everything you could wish for, clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the screened porch, watching the waves and especially the dolphins. A much needed recharge after a long year. Will definitely book again.

Fabulous place!

My sister, our spouses, and mother stayed for a long weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wayward Whims. Cozy, comfy, fully equipped, and on the beach! We had a great time, even cooked a thanksgiving feast with the well equipped kitchen. The screened porch was the best, especially since our two full days there were rainy. Very private, quiet, and off the beaten path. Such a great place!

Clean, directly on the beach. Stocked with essentials. A little away from the center of Folly and restaurants, etc. That might be a plus or minus in your book. I liked the quiet and less traffic. Overall a nice experience.

Wonderful and Relaxing Getaway

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wayward Whims. This was just what we needed after a stressful year where my family could come together from different locations and reconnect. The location was perfect for us! Out of the way from the busy areas of the Pier (which we did enjoy) and heavy traffic. The weather was perfect too even though the remnants from Hurricane Lee were still lurking out at sea. The property was as described and very comfortable for all of us. We enjoyed sitting in the screened-in porch to watch and listen to the waves. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting around the living area in the evening. Our stay was perfect in every way. Thank you for making that happen.

Great house, great location

Spent a week with 2 families in the house including 2 teens and a toddler and the house was perfect for us. It’s a great location, quiet and the easy access to beach is the best part. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed, except one bathroom door didn’t fully latch which made for a fun toilet trip if the toddler was awake. Heads up there are no beach towels, but the listing was clear on that. There were 2 beach chairs and we picked up an inexpensive BBQ (which we left behind for the next). Everything was new and clean and we had the best time - highly recommend!
