La Playa Beach Front Beauty!

One of Folly's Best! La Playa is a clean and comfortable 1 bedroom condo with hardwood floors throughout and a king size Tempur-Pedic mattress that makes sleeping heavenly in this oceanfront condo. It's located on the first floor of a three story elevated complex that sits directly on the beach. The building was recently renovated to feature new decking and upgraded A/C units. Wake up to enjoy the beautiful beach sunrise from the shared balcony or relax on the porch and enjoy the warm sunshine watching the dolphins play while sipping your morning coffee. The night sky is perfect for stargazing while listening to the waves crash onto the shore. You even have access to a shared washer/dryer during your vacation too! You can park your car in your reserved parking space the entire time you are here because everything is within easy walking distance. A few words from the owner: “My wife and I like to enjoy our condo often. Rest assured you will find our condo clean and comfortable with nice furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen. I strive to have one of the nicest condos in the building. Our goal is to have every guest return for their next vacation.” Beach lovers can enjoy the beach from the front balcony or by crossing the private boardwalk over the sand dunes right onto the sand. During the summer enjoy the water at one of the only sections of beach with a lifeguard. Those that like to fish can walk less than a block to the Fishing Pier to join other anglers working these very productive spots. Great restaurants, fresh seafood vendors and a grocery store are all nearby. This unit is a great base to explore the beach and the Historic City of Charleston. Folly Beach Suites shares laundry & HVAC with the neighboring unit, a locked door leads to the adjoining laundry room. Please keep temperatures at recommended levels and remove clothes from washer/dryer as soon as possible.

LaPlaya allows up to 3 well behaved, house-broken, flea treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dogs when you inquire. This rental includes 1 reserved parking space. While we manage this property we do not manage the maintenance of this building. All photos are current and accurately depict the property. Please book with confidence. THE PERFECT SPOT!

True beach front! I’m always dubious about places and their descriptions as beach front. Sometimes there’s a street between the house and the beach. Sometimes there’s a slight angle where you can see the beach.But this was TRUE beach front! We sat and drank our coffee staring at the ocean. When we were playing on the beach, we could walk back to the room in 3 minutes and use the restroom or get a refill.I hope it’s available every time we come back to see our son and DIL in Charleston!

Tired in desperate need of a refresh

Very disappointed, wouldn’t stay here again, condo was clean enough but showed dirty & tired because it’s in desperate need of updating the kitchen and bathroom cabinets are in terrible shape need replacing, the walls are in rough shape in desperate need of paint not to mention some ripples and holes that need repair, the shower head and water control valve are loose and I was concerned they might come loose from the plumbing, the couch is the most uncomfortable saggy piece of furniture I’ve ever sat on in fact it’s unsittable if that’s even a word because it’s so sunken in the cushions are flatter then pancakes seriously it’s that bad! Maybe I’m just used to a better standard and I’m not even picky as long as a place is clean and cared for but these are things that need to be addressed by the owner not the cleaning staff. To pay that much money for a place that is in such desperate need of an update/refresh in my opinion just down right unacceptableopinion

Place was great, barking dogs not so much

I enjoyed the proximity to local restaurants and Bert's. The view was great as well. But there were so many barking dogs in neighboring units that really made staying here almost unbearable. Also I could hear every scratch from the dogs upstairs as they scrambled around. Really put a damper on what would have been a great stay. I doubt I'll come back because this property allows pets. Also dog owners, DO BETTER!

Loved it being right on the beach. Everything was in walking distance. Didn’t drive while we were there except to go sight seeing one day. Grocery store one block away and restaurants were 2 blocks away. Very nice place to stay. The wife is already to go back in January.

We were so impressed with this condo and with the property management. It was a beautiful place and very clean. The convenience was the best part. We were right at the beach and the pier and convenient to everything around us. Any correspondence we had with the property management was very polite and efficient. They responded right away and were very helpful. I would love for there to be an elevator but we do plan on staying again in the future.

We have spent several vacations in Folly Beach. This was our first time in this condo and it was convenient to everything we needed. The management even came by to say hello. Only bad mark is we happened to be next to all the AC units for the building.

Overpriced but good Location

We wanted to check in 2 hours early due to a surprise engagement and they said sure
 for an unreasonable additional fee. It was clean enough to stay but not impressive especially since the cleaning fees for a 2 night stay were hundreds of dollars and other vague fees like “additional charges” (also hundreds of dollars) The beach view is really beautiful and the location is super convenient for walking around but absolutely not worth the cost. We understand fees with a rental but this was beyond overpriced for what you get.

Great few days at the beach!

Wanted a getaway before the crowds come in and it was perfect. Had my small dog and we were able to walk anywhere we needed to go. I literally parked and didn't get back in the car until time to leave! Condo was perfect size for us and loved having my coffee looking at the waves! Will be back.
