Quite good
Posted Nov. 14, 2023 on HotelsIt was my first time to stay here. My largest client is 4-5 Km away . The Relais is fine for business stays . I will use the restaurant next time I stay

Fantastic Building
Posted Jun. 19, 2023 on HotelsA wonderful old building with large courtyard and lovely rooms. Excellent restaurant.
The hotel is in the centre of the village adjacent to the church.

Super stay
Posted Apr. 22, 2023 on HotelsThis was an overnight stay on our way from Pescara to the UK. It is a unique property with excellent connection to the autostrada near Parma,
We were particularly impressed with the quality of the evening meal in the delightful restaurant - including the very reasonable cost of a bottle of Montepulciano.
The three differently aged Parmigianos to finish the meal were a highlight we will long remember.

Relais Fontevivo is a unique place! Hotel is located inside a building of a medieval monastery - one of those that were build like a fortress. Building itself, inner yard, restaurant - they are all beautiful, and quite an unusual setting for a hotel.
Rooms are furnished in a way that preserves that feeling of its previous purpose, with spartan furnishing, and bare floors, but with everything you need in the room and bathroom.
Single room I used did not have a minibar (fridge was there, but it wasn't stocked).
Make sure you bring slippers when you come. Those cobbled stone floors can be a bit cold in winter time.

Beautiful hotel built into ancient abbey. Elegant restaurant with creative and delicious food. Very extensive, lovely breakfast included in great value price for rooms. Rooms are simple but there are many picturesque and comfortable places to lounge around the property. I will come back again. There is nothing to do in town, but Parma is only 30 minutes away.

Great structure, monastery of the 12th century . Recommend to use restaUrant and walk around the hotel’s courtyard and halls but do not stay here. Rooms are small , uncomfortable, missed heating when we arrived at 12 degrees C , shower has filthy curtain which were claimed to be as in the times of the monks. It’s fine if the owners decide to keep authencity of the monastery life , then don’t place TVs in the room 😃 Interesting place to visit but not to stay

Pros: The staff are charming and helpful , breakfast consists of home made pastries which are delicious . Dinner was sublime .
Cons: nothing . improve the rooms and the price will go up . Leave all as it is .
Location: Parma is a short drive away . The Duomo is magnificent . Collection of Renaissance art also . Food in Parma is very good : Parmesan cheese and meats .
our room was basis and inexpensive but we were little in it as we were close to Parma where we spent the day , sightseeing .
