The only positive experience we had was that they allowed us to check I. Early after our cruise so our three kids, including two with special needs, had a place to be out of the weather. After that, it was all awful. The elevators were out of date on inspection and still moved after the doors opened, unlevel with the floor. Once we reached our floor it smelled wet and musty. I get it. It’s Florida. It’s humid. But this was a very thick air, and felt slimey. We reached our room and the smell was sickening. We used an entire bottle of febreeze with no relief. After searching for the smell, we found the air conditioner seemed to be putting out a lot of humidity. It wasn’t a clean air smell. The curtains in 416 were covered in mold from the air conditioner blowing on them. The room had not been swept. We didn’t complain because we did get in early so we just thought they cut corners cleaning. But cThe trash cans were sticky. There was a dead roach in the sink. Crumbs on carpet. Couch smelled like urine. The blankets on the bed were torn on the bottom side and my foot got caught. I woke up to go to the bathroom in the dark and there were live roaches all over the place. We booked this hotel for the early morning transportation to the airport. However, someone at the desk canceled our service. And the driver didn’t want to take us. We confirmed this at check In. Best of all. We got home and were charged twice. Never again. Also because you asked, there’s no close beaches.
