**House Rules**
We have created this house rules sheet to preserve the integrity of your stay and future stays while also respecting the home and neighborhood! Following these rules will greatly help us as Vacation Rental hosts by making sure the home is taken care of during your stay. We understand that people are not a âone size fits allâ category, so please reach out to us with any questions or concerns in this document. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!!
Mi casa, tu casa! But you wouldnât intentionally damage or mess up your home, would you? We ask that you treat our property as if it was your very own as well! Please be aware of the condition of items in the house, and if you happen to notice anything broken when you arrive, please contact us to let us know. We also ask that you please watch noise levels at night. We love our neighbors! Theyâre nice, weâre nice to them, and we hope you are nice to them too! Noise ordinances for quiet time in the city/neighborhood are at 10pm, so please respect these rules.
A/C system Please keep the a/c levels at appropriate temperatures throughout your stay and keep doors and windows closed while in operation as humidity accumulation can cause freezing of units and disfunction. If you have a desired temperature that you would like the house at prior to checking in, feel free to message us and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.
BBQ Grill Any guests who plan to use our BBQ grill are welcome to do so, but please only use it if you are familiar with propane gas grills. Before & after each use, please turn on & off the propane tank by reaching under the grill and twisting the handle clockwise (open) or counterclockwise (close). Please turn on the vent fan while the grill is in use. In order to minimize a messy clean up, we ask that guests use foil and clean up the grill after use by using the grill cleaner formula provided and pouring out the drip pan. We donât want to have grease as a fire hazard. Fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen, under the sink. The grill is clean and weâd like everyone to experience it that way! Any excess cleaning will result in additional cleaning fees. We cannot stress this enough! Our cleaners will charge us for additional cleaning, and we will in turn charge you.
Booking When you book, you are agreeing to pay all charges for your booking including the Listing price, applicable fees like, taxes, and any other items identified during checkout (collectively, âTotal Priceâ). You are also agreeing that Câest La Vie Home Away by Jordan Mikes LLC via Cosmic Property Management or their partners may charge the Payment Method used to book the Listing in order to collect Damage Claim amounts. When you receive the booking confirmation/invoice, a contract for Host Services (a `Reservation`) is formed directly between you and the Host. In addition to these Terms, you will be subject to, and responsible for complying with, all terms of the Reservation, including without limitation, the cancellation policy and any other rules, standards, policies, or requirements identified in the Listing or during checkout that apply to the Reservation. It is your responsibility to read and understand these rules, standards, policies, and requirements prior to booking a Listing. Be aware that some Hosts work with a co-host or as part of a team to provide their Host Services.
Broken items If for any reason you break an item during your stay, please let us know immediately. We understand that accidents happen, but in order for us to fix or replace something for a future guest to enjoy, we will need to know that it is broken. We really appreciate your honesty. We take inventory of every single item in the home when it is being cleaned, including linens, appliances, towels, and decorations. If anything is missing - this will result in a fee equal to the itemâs 150% replacement value.
Check-in Check-in time is from 4:00pm -12:00am. If you have a late/delayed flight, please let us know as soon as possible and we will be happy to work with you. Early check-ins are available upon request, however please understand that we cannot make any guarantees until the day of or before. If you are interested in an early check in, please reach out to us and we will let you know what the additional cost would be. If you are granted an early check in, the additional fees are as follows: 12:30pm check-in: $250 2pm check-in: $150
Check-out Check-out time is 11am. Late checkouts are based on availability and an additional fee of $150/per hour. Unless otherwise authorized by us, please give us a 24-hour notice for late checkout requests or if you would like to extend your stay with us. Please keep in mind that we will try our best to accommodate these requests however we cannot make any guarantees that we will be able to honor your request. Any guest who stays after the 11am checkout time without requesting it from us previously or stays despite having their request denied will be charged an additional nightâs stay and will be forced to vacate. Should we experience any cancellations or losses in our calendar arising from any check out related complications from you or any guests, you will be charged for the next booking. Prior to leaving please place a load of regular towels and beach towels to wash. This will help our cleaners get a heads start for our next guest.
*Upon checking out, please make sure that our house looks reasonably neat- just like the way you found it. Although we pride ourselves on cleanliness, we do not expect you to scrub it clean but it must be reasonably âpicked upâ and furniture placed as it was at check-in. *Make sure to collect all personal belongings. Check all closets, drawers, washer/ dryer. We are not responsible for any items left behind.
Checking for & Report Damages/Issues Please note that like any home, our property may have normal wear tear. We try our hardest to fix, replace, and bring back our property to its original form in between guests and reservations but sometimes itâs just not feasible and sometimes our previous guests donât mention it to us. Itâs your responsibility to let us know of any damages or issues you may have with the home or you forfeit the right to later deny any damages or make claims about the state of the home.
All issues should be reported within the first 3 hours of entry. When reporting the issues please notify us with evidence of the issue. For example, broken blender: image or video showing that the blender does not function. For any claims that cannot be photographed, for example, a smell, we ask that guest (at their own expense) involve a neutral 3rd party professional to assess the home to validate their claims. Evidence of this must be supported and legitimized.
Childrenâs Safety Children are always welcome! After all, we have our own offspring! However, please keep your children safe. Our home is not childproofed. The pool has fence but guests are responsible for any and all necessary `baby proofing`. (If applicable) Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Confetti & Other Decor Decorations and confetti are strictly prohibited unless previously discussed and approved. Our cleaners will charge additionally for an excessive clean as itâs incredibly hard to remove. The fees will be passed along to you.
Contact Information In the event that we must reach you, itâs imperative that we have confirmed a valid point of communication. The platforms sometimes provide outdated contact information whether it be an old email address or phone number. If your phone number is from outside of the country, please provide us with a local reachable way to be able to call you. In the event of an emergency and/or issue we need this information. Please send us your contact information. We will not provide the access code until we have secured a valid point of contact.
Commercial Photography & Filming Guests must ask the host prior to booking if booking is done with the intent to do any commercial photography or filming. We have the right to decline any type of photography and filming. If your request is approved, please note an additional $500 fee applies to all reservations booked with the intent to film or have commercial photography. In addition, mention of our property is mandatory as a location credit @CestLaVieHomeAway. Should you decline the added fee and state that filming and/or photography will no longer take place to avoid the fee, please know that a fee will still be obliged to pay as once you are in the home, we wonât have cameras to confirm or deny that you will or will not be following through with the photography/filming.
Common Concerns By booking this home, you acknowledged that scuff marks on the wall do not constitute as an unclean/unsanitary home or a misleading/altered representation of the images online.
I was told that I was able to have a party and even paid an extra fee for the party. Then there were complications with parking. Then we got kicked out for the party. If the host did not want there to be a party then the host shouldâve not allowed there to be a party.
