Welcome to Destin West Gulfside #605! I'm Frank, the owner and your host for this wonderful vacation property. This condo is a 1 bedroom + 1 bunk room and 2 full bath. This property is located in the Gulfside building at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. The resort has direct beach access, many pools, hot tubs, and a lazy river. This condo is located on the top floor and provides a great view of the beach, pier, pool, sunsets, and the city! This is a great choice for a vacation destination.

I am dedicated to providing my guests excellent service and a very nice condo. With this vacation rental you receive a very comfortable and nicely decorated unit. Much time and attention has been spent keeping this property maintained and updated so that you can experience a pleasant stay.

To help improve your stay we provide extra housekeeping amenities such as beach towels, laundry detergent, bath soaps, keurig w/ starter pods, and more. I look forward to hosting your group for a beach trip!

The condo provided everything we needed for our family of 4! Views from the balcony were perfect for sunset views over the pier. Easy access to the beach and the pool area was essential for us, and we enjoyed every chance we could at the hot tub. Check-in and communication with the host was easy. Thanks for a great stay!

The condo was amazing. The host was good at communication. Beautiful beach view from the balcony and great balcony seating. Comfortable sofa for lounging and bed a pillows for sleeping were great also. Beach service was a plus. I would stay here again when visiting the area. It would probably be during a different week because the weather wasn't the greatest during our visit. But, you never know what you are going to get when in Florida.

The condo was really clean and well taken care of. Beds were comfortable and linens were good quality. Pool towels were a !!It is advertised as 2 bedroom, but actually one of those is a bunk room that has space for beds only. Just fyi. There isn't a space for their belongings, it's very cramped. They had to put suitcases in the hallway. There were 2 pull out ottoman beds which would be nice for kiddos, we didnt use during our stay. The location of condos were nice and pool area was nice-very large pool which is very important to me. There is a kiddie pool which I felt was a waste since no one used the entire week, but would have been nice to 2 hot-tubs because it was always full. It was nice to have beach chair service included. Saved us room having to travel with chairs/umbrella and pool towels. We had a lot of rain and the water was terrible with June grass, but that's mother nature. Next time, we will most likely stay in Destin just for the location. We ended up in Destin every night either to eat or shop. It's not that far of a drive.

Perfect family spot!

This property was exactly as described - worked perfectly for a family of 4. Steps from the beach with private property board walk and great view from our balcony. We also enjoyed the spacious pool near our unit as well as the lazy river across the street at the bayside sister property. Chairs were easy to get on the beach and 2 are included with rental. Many restaurants nearby - full kitchen if you want to cook! The washer and dryer in room were great - really helped with all the beach clothes. Overall great stay with great hosts - clean and all needs were met!

Wonderful Vacation

This was our 2nd stay at Destin West Gulfside. We had another amazing time here. The Unit was very clean and in excellent condition. The view was amazing from our condo and the location of Destin West is perfectly located for all the attractions and restaurants in the Fort Walton and Destin area. Summer vacay!

This was our first time staying at this particular condo, second time at Destin West! Overall, we had a positive experience. The property was clean, which made a great first impression. All necessary appliances were included, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at all of the beautiful views. The sights and sounds of the waves crashing were so relaxing. Be mindful, there is a bunkroom a not a 2nd bedroom. It was notably cramped for my teens but, they managed to make it work without too much trouble. Despite this minor inconvenience, the condo’s other attributes, like its cleanliness, location, amenities and the well-equipped kitchen, helped balance out the experience. We enjoyed our stay! Thanks from Louisiana for providing us a great space to create memories of our family vacation!

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I stay in the condo to be close to my son playing volleyball at the boardwalk next store. The condo allowed for great views of the beach and the local area. We were provided with more than enough beach towels and all the basics were provided. We will visit again next time we come :).

Great rental in beautiful, convenient location

Wonderful week long stay in unit 605. It was a convenient Uber from Destin airport and everything we needed was already in the unit or a short walk away. We had groceries delivered and there were several good restaurants within walking distance along the beach. (Stewbys off the beach is delicious). The unit was excellent. Clean and with much nicer towels and furnishings than most vacation rentals. The balcony has a view over one of the pools as well as a beautiful view of the gulf and beach. The kitchen has good knives and enough cookware for us to prepare several of our meals there. Check-in was super easy (key code entry) and when I texted the local staff at checkout I received a prompt and friendly response. The Destin West property has multiple pool options (3 different temp levels) plus our kids loved the lazy river. Overall a great rental. The ease of this location and rental made us think we will try to return in the future.

Great condo

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was exactly as described. It was also clean and comfortable. Everything was in good working condition. It was our favorite place we’ve stayed in Fort Walton so far. The resort was also well kept. The heated pool just downstairs from the condo was one of our favorite spots after visiting the beach. Getting chairs on the beach was very easy also.

Perfect Beach location

We were very excited about our unit right on the beach. We drove down 14 hours from Illinois. Along the way, my husband became very ill. We arrived a couple of hours early and I went to the local Publix to get meds and Sprite. We waited in parking garage until 4. As we were unloading our vehicle, one of the cleaners approached us and told us that the unit was not ready. I told her it was crucial we get in the unit as my husband was very ill. She told me the beds weren't made and the floors not cleaned. I told her my husband needed to get into the air conditioning and lay down. We were allowed to come in, where my husband laid on the couch and they cleaned around him. Once they finished in the bedroom, my husband moved into there. I do realize it had been a busy holiday weekend and we had unusual circumstances that we needed in the unit right at 4. We really enjoyed the location of the unit, we watched the sun come up every morning and enjoyed breakfast out on the balcony. We loved the fact that 2 beach chairs and umbrella was included, which we utilized daily. The pool right on the property was superb on the hot sunny afternoons. We are considering coming back for the New Years and highly recommend this unit.

Great Spot

This is a great condo in an excellent location. Beach and property were pristine with plenty of pools on the property and nearby restaurants/shops to keep my family (with an 11 and 13 yr old) busy and entertained. I would definitely stay here again.

Quick review. Family of 5 (kids 9-15) stayed here over spring break. - The condo is great, fit all 5 of us with a bit of shuffling at night. Everything is accurate from the listing and it is in great condition. - I've stayed in other places that lacked a lot of essentials. This place did not, it had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. - The view is AMAZING. - The gulf side pool isn't heated, it's huge, so I wouldn't expect it to be. My kids jumped in it regardless, but definitely needed the hot tub there to warm up. - Bay side has 3 heated pools and 2 hot tubs. It is an easy walk across the bridge over there which we did several times. The lazy river isn't heated, but my kids played in it quite a few times and liked the challenge of going in the cold water. The heated pools are very nice and warm and as we found out, you can go in them on cold days and still have fun. - The ocean is easily accessible from this gulf side condo. The beach is beautiful and the water is amazing (if a bit cool during March). You check in and get your name put on chairs which lasts till 5pm. It is an easy process. - A short walk west is the pier and some shops and restaurants. - A very short walk east is a public beach and miles of open beaches/ocean. - Gas station across the street for essentials. - A mile to the west over the bridge is a liquor store and Publix plus a bunch of great bars and restaurants. - This location is "quieter" than the main Destin area with a lot less traffic. Be prepared to sit in traffic going to and from East Destin. But if you stay on the west, it isn't bad at all and it has everything you need. I just wanted to add some salient points about the location and area from the perspective of a family stay. I definitely recommend it.
