This luxurious condo is a Lanai Unit offering front access to parking and rear access to pool and Lazy River. It has flat screen HD TV's with Bluray players. Many extra appliances such as microwave, toaster oven, crock pot, and coffee maker (regular and Keurig). Multi-level rear patio with private hot tub and grill just feet away from the Lazy River. Not only one of the nicest units, but one of the most conveniently located units on the property. Once you have stayed in this Condo, you will never look anywhere else.

Master Bedroom: King bed with new and comfy mattresses. Huge en suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower.
Guest Bedroom: Queen bed
2nd Guest Bedroom: Bunk Bed with full on bottom, twin on top and twin trundle.
Brand new (2022) Sleeper sofa in living room with upgraded gel foam mattress.
Pack n Play for families with littles is provided.

Great experience!

We enjoyed our stay during “Fall Break”! The property was perfect for our family of 3 plus my mom! The space was perfect! I loved the balcony view of the Lazy river and it was great that there was a wagon and chairs for the beach. If you want to rent umbrella and chairs at the beach you better get there early for a front row. The only things that needed attention was the refrigerator door hits the cabinet when opening and there wasn’t a pizza cutter, but neither was a deal breaker. We would definitely choose this property again!!!

Great Place for Family Vacation

Experienced a little trouble with door code upon arrival that delayed our entry to unit by about 30 minutes. Code provided wasn’t working properly and was unable to reach owners. This was partly due to poor cell service on our end. Would recommend owners implement a system to confirm checkin for future guests. However unit very clean and exactly as described. Also a great location to the lazy river and the private hot tub was a nice addition they we utilized each day. Would highly recommend this unit!

Lazy river fun

We enjoyed our stay at the lazy river! The beach had a lot of seaweed at the time and the bay side was an awesome option for us! We’ve been staying at the Destin West for many years with our kids and it’s still their favorite place! We love watching sunrises and sunsets over the bay! We had a couple things happen with questions and the management was great!

Best Beach Getaway!

This was probably our best vacation ever! We have been guests at Destin West for about 8 years now. This was definitely our favorite condo. Booking was simple. Check in process was a breeze! Condo was ready early and very clean. Loved that our wrist bands were waiting in the room for us. Location was wonderful! My kids loved just running to the lazy river every afternoon from the patio while we grilled or just sat and watched them. Condo had everything we needed for the week as far as kitchen items. Love the decor! Beds were comfy. My guys loved the TV in the living room with the sound bar. Perfect for watching movies at night. It was the perfect week in a wonderful condo! Can’t wait to go back.

Very enjoyable! Has everything you could need

We enjoyed our week in this condo. We had everything we needed to cook several meals, grilled steaks one night. We had everything we needed for the beach, a wagon full of stuff. We had my 6 month old grandson and there was a very clean pack n play for him. There were 9 of us total and we had plenty of room! Beautiful view of the lazy River. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Can’t beat the location!

Great location with some issues

We arrived to the area around 3pm, and to our surprise, we received a text message saying that our unit was clean and available for an early check-in. We entered the early check-in code given to us via text and the unit was filthy, had several cleaners still inside, and was not close to being ready. We came back an hour and a half later and the condo was clean, but empty beer and coke cans were still left outside all around the patio/grill area and wet towels were left in the washer. The condo location is great. It’s easy access to the beach with a pedestrian bridge and elevators. We loved the bay side with the lazy river, waterfall pool, and private dock to fish from in the evenings. Pros: -Great location in Fort Walton -Condo has the perfect location within the property -Great for families with kids -Large master bedroom and bathroom Cons: -Dirty hot tub didn’t work -Main sliding glass door not working properly -Phone communication with property manager is lacking, hot tub and sliding glass door were never fixed during our stay -Communication through VRBO to property manager is nonexistent. -Beach is completely monopolized & crowded by La Dolce Vita chair/umbrella rental company. They make it impossible to bring your own beach chairs/canopy and find a spot to use them. Basically you are not allowed to use your own stuff on the Destin West property. You’ll have to walk down the beach to a different area. Overall we enjoyed our vacation but were very disappointed about the hot tub and wasting vacation time to call every day with no results. The main reason we booked this property was for the private hot tub access on our deck. We spent a lot of time at the bayside pools which were clean and well kept, but the monopolized beach was disappointment.

Sister's getaway oasis

My sister and I choose this property based on our own check list. This is nestled between Destin and Pensacola which offer so much between all the locations. The property was well maintained and while we were there were performing fire alarm checks which was nice to see that they care about safety. The pools were amazing though we used the main pool and there are 2 other pools. The lazy river was nice, cold but a nice feature. The property had everything we needed to cook meals, pack for a day at the beach or relax at the condo. The condo had its private hot tub which was so nice to have and conveniently. The only complaint was one of the community hottubs wasn't working with the jets werent working. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and just what we needed to get away.

I've stayed at this resort before and this room was so much better than the other room along with the communication from the owner. I would highly recommend this condo. It was super convenient to be on the 1st floor so that we could walk right out of our room to the pool area. When you have young kids this is even more convenient. We will definitely be back and we plan to stay in this same condo.

“Destin”ation Vacation

My family and my parents very much enjoyed our time at this condo. We came into town to visit my sister and her family bc they just had a baby. It was a perfect spot for us to gather while the kids and adults could enjoy the pools! I have teenagers and elementary aged kids and they all enjoyed the pools and beach. I loved that we could easily walk out to the pool right from the back door. We never felt crowded in the place and we had a total of 8 people sleeping here. I would recommend this listing and would come back for another trip. Thank you for everything!

Most spacious condo we’ve stayed at in a very long time!

Highly recommend this condo! So much space and room to move! With 9 people staying in the condo, we had plenty of sleeping area and places to sit. The balcony had so much space and the hot tub made it so nice with all the rain for the kids! We will be back!

The lanai level room at this resort is the best. You look out into a tropical Oasis both day and night. Being steps from the best amenities is a huge perk and having a private hot tub was the icing on the cake.

Great week!

We had a great week unwinding during this crazy time. The condo, was great. Our only issue was the fridge but they were very responsive and helpful in getting us a cooler with ice. We had to eat in bc all restaurants being closed so we had a lot of groceries and the cooler wasn’t ideal but it kept most important things cool. I highly recommend staying here and hopefully we will be back soon!

Back door of unit is just a few steps from the lazy river and swimming pools. This works out great, especially for kids. The kitchen is well equipped, and the management staff were super flexible and responsive.

Everything we needed

The property had everything we needed for our family to enjoy a comfortable stay in Fort Walton Beach. The property was clean, and the kitchen was well-supplied to cook for our large family of 10, including crockpot, heavy-bottomed pots and skillets, grilling utensils, blender, toaster, coffee maker and keurig. There was enough seating for us all to eat as well, though some of us often dined on the patio. We had every amenity we needed, including a pack-n-play and high chair. There were plenty of bath towels, and a starter supply of soaps and paper goods. Easy access to the pools from this unit was a major plus with kids. The lazy river and connected pool were too cold for me, but the heated pools and hot tub were very comfortable in the cooler weather of early March--we spent a lot of time swimming, even in 65-degree weather. Access to the beach via the bridge was easy enough once we figured out the way. We also enjoyed a family movie night with the large screen TV. All-in-all, a great unit, and we would return again! Thanks!
