Cozy Cottage on Cedar Lake with Children's Club House. Perfect For Families

This charming remodeled spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath, split-level 2,600 sq.ft. craftsman style home on Big Cedar lake has been completely renovated. Custom solid wood kitchen cabinetry with quartz and butcher block countertops, stainless steel appliances with gas range, gas fireplace with ship-lap mantel wall, and laminate floors. All bathrooms feature custom tile shower/tub surrounds and stylish vanities. The master bathroom is magazine worthy and the perfect adult retreat. Kids and grandkids will love the bunk room with space for several beds and a clubhouse and plenty of space to play. Kids and Adults love this space.

Over 80' of private lake frontage and sandy lake bottom can be enjoyed whether skiing between the hours of 1-4pm or enjoying a campfire along the shore on a brisk fall night.

This is not a pet friendly home, which includes pets coming with day guests.

You will be required to provide a state issued ID and sign a rental contract prior to check in. No exceptions. If you do not wish to provide those items, you should cancel your reservation.

No refunds for late arrival, travel interruptions such as flight delays or traffic jams, or early checkout. Please purchase travel insurance to cover your trip in the event that something unforeseen happens.

No more than the maximum number of guests (10). No exceptions. You cannot bring air mattresses to accommodate extra guests.

We do not provide firewood, Firestarter or a lighter or matches. Some may be available when you arrive, left over from previous guests, but are not guaranteed.

This is the lake, there are bugs as well as vegetation including but not limited to poison ivy and poison oak.

Friends Family Trip

My group included multiple families. This place worked well for us. The bunk area was a hit with the kids. If you have a larger group, I recommend bringing some paper plates to utilize along with the provided plates. While there is no sandy beach area the dock is fairly large and accommodated our group. The beds were very comfortable and two of the bedrooms are on different floors from the kitchen and dining areas providing some extra privacy. If anyone in your party is older or has mobility issues, know that there are several stairs to get throughout the house and a lot of stairs to get down to the water.

Girls weekend 2024

The house was perfect for the amount of women that stayed. We had seven women and there was more than enough space. We don’t see each other very often and tend to let off a little steam when we’re there so the only thing I would say is if you’re a little louder on your weekends like we are ,it might be a little too close to neighbors. The only thing that I would suggest would be for there to be a kayak rack at the bottom of the steps so that they don’t have to be brought up and down. The weather was perfect, the house was great and I would definitely recommend , the house to others

Jansen/Reese family reunion 2024

This home was an outstanding choice. We were able to have our family stay together in the same place instead of multiple hotel rooms. (Ourseleves and our two kids and spouses and three grandkids.) We had plenty of room to play cards and the kids enjoyed the lake.. The kids loved the loft room. The home is right on the water front with an great view. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen/ dinning is set up very nicely. We were able to communicate easily with the owner/host and she responded quickly and was very helpful. The only thing that was sad was Hurricane (tropical storm) Beryl arrived as an unwelcome guest. But that just gave us more time to play cards and games with family. Sites we visited was the Debrands Chocolat Factory and Sweetwater, and Science Center for the kids in Ft Wayne. A great time was had by all. We will be interested in returning next summer. Thank you so much for the gracious hospitality and being able to create lasting memories. Sheila

Great times by the lake!!

We loved our stay! The house was very clean and Very welcoming. My son loved the sleeping cubbies. Great location and view of the lake. Marion was very responsive. Highly recommend to anyone looks g for a nice summer getaway.

Great house and great location. Very comfortable and clean. The lake and the area was lovely. It was nice that it came with a dock but be prepared bc it’s several stairs to get down! We also enjoyed the kayaks that were available for use. We would come here again!

Beautiful home on lake

This home had everything our group of 6 needed for a comfortable stay. After a long trip, it was very welcoming to enjoy the plate of fresh baked cookies and the coffee bar! The home was very nicely decorated and very clean. We would definitely recommend this home.

Pawpaw’s funeral

The home is well appointed and the view is stunning. The beds are so comfortable and waking up to this view with a cup of coffee on the deck makes me want to stay again and again. We were in town for a funeral and the host had cookies for us and the sweetest card. So thoughtful, kind and unexpected.

Perfect!

We were in the area for a hockey weekend in Fort Wayne but we would 100% return for a longer stay when it gets warm. The house was very clean and described perfectly. My husband loved the little town and was able to get in a very scenic 15 mile run. Marion is an amazing host and extremely communicative. 12/10! Would stay again!

Long weekend on the lake

The lake home and sunny weather was perfect for our family get together. Lots of room inside and outside for our group of five to enjoy meals, play games and relax. The deck was a favorite spot to spend peaceful early mornings. The master bath was a treat! Marion was very responsive during our stay and her suggestions for pontoon rentals added to our enjoyment of the lake, as well as the provided kayaks. Wonderful trip!

Absolutely fabulous

House is beautiful, super clean and has everything needed for a short stay. The lake is CLEAR and so pretty. Everything was wonderful. Marion was super easy to connect with and was a superb "host"...That whole area is very relaxing and enjoyable. Went with 4 sisters and we all enjoyed it. Beds were SO comfy too which is hit or miss often. Well done!

Beautiful home!

Several friends gathered here for a weekend getaway. It was perfect for our needs! It slept 10 comfortably. The kitchen was well-stocked, the house was clean, and the view was lovely! The dock was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy the sun, but there is not much “beach.” Overall, we were really grateful to have found such a beautiful place for our annual reunion!

Beautiful home not able to use pontoon

Had a great stay and the home was beautiful and clean. Due to an insurance thing we ended up not being able to use the pontoon last minute but the house was still great and we made it work. Loved the home!
