Lovely helpful staff. Dinner was a bit average. Noisy from road noise on occasion during the night but compensated by a lovely view of the loch in the morning

Building a little tired on the outside but unlike its sister hotel in Oban (where we stayed the night before) our room was modern and clean and everything worked! Great location, short drive from town. Good breakfast buffet style. Staff on reception very helpful staff in restaurant a bit unsmiling but I think just very busy! Would stay again. Beautiful views over loch from dining area.

Location of the property is beautiful and the staff are fabulous. They were helpful and accommodating to our numerous requests.Thank you!! However, our room had too much furniture, too few plugs, dirty carpet and walls, and an inch of dust coating everything. Badly in need of a deep clean and some basic upgrades.

Would not recommend.

I read the mixed reviews. Could see some people are complaining others not so much. We needed a place to stay for 1 night to break up the travel on the way up to Skye. When it was $300 AUD you would think that it would be a fair hotel. More like a rip off. The bed was horrible, the pillow keeps falling off because there was a lip on the floor preventing the bed to touch the wall. All the furniture in the room was cheap. Book anywhere else!! There are many other pretty hotels than this one.

Cheap head-rest that did nothing. No power points next to the bed. And of course the bed didn’t even touch the wall.
Huge gap behind the bed where the pillows kept falling through to the floor.Caused by the lip on the ground.

This hotel had a rating of 3.6, and after my stay, I can say people were pretty generous, but the room smelled like urine and vomit. When I complained, the staff provided a room spray and told me to make it work

Ok for a one night stay, but our room was in urgent need of a refurb - all very tied looking. The mattress and pillows were rather thin, and the bathroom and general decor was shabby. The room wasn’t clean throughout - certainly round the edges could have been cleaner. The bar/restaurant end of the building was much nicer, and the staff excellent.

Tiniest double bed I have experienced in a long time. Hotel staff were expedient and responsive but warmth was lacking. Lovely view out to the water from picture windows in dining room obscured by coach parking right in front. Coaches could have been located at the other end of the parking area without compromising any viewpoint. Table in room was unstable and maintenance person came to room with screwdriver and proceeded to dismantle it. They could have taken away and given us one from another room while they worked on it. It was still unstable. Our stay was fine but hotel is tired and uninspiring.

Overpriced for what you get

Hotel is very dated. Our room smelled very strongly of damp. The floor was unbelievably creaky. We were top floor and felt awful even walking to toilet due to the noise. Could even hear nextdoor’s floor through the walls. Felt every single spring in the bed so had the worst night sleep. Only one socket in the entire room so charging was a nightmare. At breakfast even though we were down half an hour earlier than finish there was barely any food out. It was not filled up. So ended up with a poor breakfast. We paid £182 for a night. Very disappointing.
