LOCATION - Approximately 7 miles from Main Street
HOSTS - Home to yourselves on 16 acres. There is a separate accommodation on the property (Wine Cup Cabin) but it is around 300 feet away.
SLEEPS - 6 persons; King bed and daybed with trundle in primary bedroom and queen bed in second bedroom
BATH - 2 baths; Primary bath has a large bubble tub and walk-in shower and second bath has a tub/shower combo
KITCHEN - Full kitchen
BREAKFAST - No breakfast; coffee & tea are provided
AMENITIES - Smart TV (bring your own login information), hot tub, quiet country setting on 17 acres, abundant wildlife, covered front porch with comfy chairs & views of the countryside, covered outdoor lounge area, a gazebo with table & chairs (available during the day only), pond

The home is dog-friendly and will accept up to two dogs that each 30 lbs or less. However, there is a pet fee of $27/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation. Dogs are not allowed to wander unattended on the property. Neighbors have livestock and allow hunting on their properties, so it is extremely important that dogs do not cross the fence lines.

Please be aware that the house has an exterior camera on its front that faces the driveway.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

It was a nice place. Loved the deer and the quiet. It needs a very deep cleaning. Everything had dust and the floors needed to be swept. There were bugs under the vanity it just needs to be cleaned really well. I would definitely look for new house cleaners.

Secluded but close

Very nice place about 10 minutes or so from Main Street. Nice and peaceful. I do think all faucets and shower heads could use a deep clean or fully replaced and maybe some pots and pans could be replaced

Great Weekend!

Beautiful home! Hot tub was great! The rooms in the house had so much room and space. We loved seeing the wildlife, sunrise and sunset's. Close to town but loved having the landscape.

Bugs

We walked in and the king-size bed was covered in small dead bugs, dead bugs in all the windows, and multiple scorpions in the house. The hot tub we could not turn off after using it. Broken wind chime and very few outside lights and zero lights around hot tub. The location is nice and house size is great. The decorations, beds and pictures are as pictured but cleaning of the house is Severely lacking! Maganized are from 2021 and games need to be updated!

Overall, property was great. Furnishings were comfortable. Artwork was really nice. Plenty of towels, etc. Couple of observations... 1. Trash from previous visitors was laying on carport floor...this could present issues with rodents, etc. 2. Hot tub temp was erratic...104 deg one day...88 deg the next...unable to adjust. 3. Coffee pot needed demineralization.

Great stay!!

The Hummingbird house is a great place to stay. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Very comfortable and lots of room. Not one time did we feel crowded at all. The property is far enough from town where it’s peaceful but close enough to do all of the activities Fredericksburg has to offer. The place is very well kept and clean. TV worked perfectly and all appliances were in good shape as well. The outside could use a little TLC but it wouldn’t stop us from using the place again. The queen bedroom has a private bathroom and shower, the King room is HUGE and has a king bed and two twins. The queen room is where my wife and stayed and. My sister and two nephews slept in the King room. All and all the house is set up well. We saw deer, lots of birds, and of course a hummingbird!!

Great country spot

Great location for some quiet country time with convenient access to Fredericksburg. Plenty of room for a family or, as we did, a great size for an extended stay by a couple with a full kitchen and comfy living room. Between the front picture window, covered sitting areas and picnic table near the pond, you can enjoy the countryside regardless of weather.

Secluded Sanctuary!

Really Nice updated 2 bedroom home, on acreage right outside of town.. lots of windows through out, giving it an open feeling.. plus, several places to sit outside, & enjoy the wildlife.. there are many Deer that tour the property, & there was even deer feed to cast out! Overall, It was a peaceful & very relaxing place.. sitting up on a hill overlooking a valley.. we plan to visit again in the fall..

Humingbird House

I give this property 5 ☆'s Only 15 minutes out of town with wonderful country setting. Nice & clean country home. Drinking coffee on the porch while watching the deer was a highlight.
