Lone Star Cabin No. 1 - Texas Hill Country

The Lone Star Cabin is located just 5 Âœ miles east of downtown Fredericksburg on US Hwy 290. The Cabin is approximately 900 square feet in size, with one master bedroom (King Size Bed), bath, walk-in closet, living room, dining area and full kitchen (open concept). There are TV’s in the living room and master bedroom. There is another full bathroom off from the living room with shower. The cabin is within walking distance to several Wineries and across the street from the new Altstadt Brewery.

We liked everything about the cabin, the kitchen table instead of counter seating, the extra bathroom, the bed was amazingly comfy, the perfectly quiet nights for sleep. This is our second time to stay in this cabin when in Fredericksburg. The only negative is we simply could not get the dish on the living room TV to work. The bedroom TV worked fine. We couldn't get it to work on our first visit either.

We really weren’t hanging out there much. We were in town at my daughter’s house for the Thanksgiving celebration. She has the store BuddyLove on property. Be sure to stop by there for women’s clothes, boots, hats etc.

Great Experience

This is our second stay in Cabin 1 and hope to return next year. Great location for visiting wineries but also close to downtown Fredericksburg. Nice propane fire pit for sitting out in the evenings.

Cute and quiet

Perfect place to stay while visiting my daughter at Sam Houston, which is only about 15 minutes away. This place has all the nice touches that make it great - from the kitchen with coffee already there, to homemade bread, to the quiet setting with deer and cows in the backyard!

Wonderful

Our host contacted me the day before arrival, there was a problem with the AC in our rental. He relocated us with an upgrade to a newer cabin. It was a wonderful location, we saw birds, rabbits and other animals. The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. It was the perfect getaway!

Loved our stay. The cabin was minutes away from downtown Fredericksburg and provided a clean comfortable place to recover. The first thing i noticed about the cabin was how clean it was. If you're going to Fredericksburg i highly staying here.

Lone Star Cabins

The cabin was super cute and cozy in a great location. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin was well stocked. The cabin was very quite even though they are right off the main road. Only negative was the shower head is very low. I’m a tall person and had to bend way over to wash my hair. It was a great place that we will definitely come back to.

Just emphasize cleanliness. Perhaps use a checklist: ceiling fan blades, base boards, bathroom rugs, replace light bulbs, porch lights covered in webs (I fixed). Maybe add a clock. Remove stickers/burrs in carpeting. Ouch! Quiet and peaceful. Ice maker didn’t work along with bathtub sprayer. Loved the colors and cows in the bathroom. Would return.

Just close enough to town that we could hop in for some fun, but far enough away to “get away”. Place was perfect, just behind a great little winery, and walking distance to several more! Perfect for a short getaway for two!
