The building looks a bit old and shabby from the outside, but interior was fine. Lobby smelled terrible (like moisture/mold) but the room was very clean and smelled good. Sheets smelled very good too and bed was comfy. The outdoor pool was very much appreciated in this heat wave. The bakery inside was delicious and staff there was lovely.

Our room wasn’t good. The bathroom needs to be updated. We were so nervous that the toilet would overflow, the paint on the walls was chipped. The room overall needs to be updated with new floors and furniture. We stayed 2 nights & the garbage wasn’t emptied during that time.

All was good. The only thing I didn’t really like about it was the fact that there was no coffee machine. I am a coffee man in the morning. I know this might be petty to some people, but most small motels do have a coffee machine they may have had one in the kitchenette, however they did not supply any coffee.

Air conditioning didn’t work—extremely uncomfortable for sleeping. The bathroom was clean but the toilet was very low. We are seniors and a taller toilet would have been more convenient.

Hidden gem

I was headed to PEI from Calgary, it was my third day on the road and I needed a place to rest after a long day on the road. I got held up but the owner waited for me to arrive. He was super friendly and so nice, it was appreciated after a long day. When I got to my room it was great. I grabbed a shower with great hot water, fluffy towels that helped shake off the road. The bed was comfy and great sheets. I got a great nights sleep and was off to the Island refreshed.

The room was very spacious and clean-almost as large as two rooms, with two couches and a TV. . The kitchen was a true, complete kitchen. The check in staff person was very friendly. We didn’t try the pool but it looked very clean and cute with a little lighthouse building beside it.
