Enjoy the sunsets, passing ships, and soaring birds, while comforted by your cozy fireplace.

Located Πmile from the Bush Point boat ramp and beach, this bright mother-in-law apartment has been remodeled to offer privacy from the main house. It offers a westerly view that can be enjoyed from your large windows, your private deck, or the expansive front lawn.

The 600-square foot apartment sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms with a queen and a twin. The queen bedroom is open to the living room; the twin bed is in an enclosed room off the queen bed area.

The kitchenette provides a 2-burner stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster-oven, Foreman grill, air fryer and coffee-maker, as well as a small outdoor propane grill. Any 1 of these can make up for the lack of an oven! Also available are WiFi, streaming TV, DVD, VCR, and library of tapes, discs, books.

Your dog will love the large front lawn. Hikers will love the proximity to S Whidbey State Park. Everyone will love the easy access to beaches, restaurants, shopping and all that Whidbey Island has to offer.

Discounts for longer stays: a week is 7% off, a month or longer is 20% off. Month-long stays don't require WA state tax so that adds another 10.8% off.

Dogs are welcome for $35 *per dog* for stays a week or less. An additional $35 per week beyond that. And since VRBO only offers 1 field for dog fee, the amount for each additional dog or weeks will be collected on-site. Sorry, no cats.

Becky’s place is very comfortable, 2 bedrooms for my brother and me (queen bed room is connected to living-dining room, separated by a curtain, no problem for me). Beautiful view of the Sound, short walk to beach, short drive to hiking and Coupville. Centrally located, perfect location for us—very quiet and peaceful.

Wonderful cottage for a long weekend. Very comfortable, great amenities with a gorgeous view! Pet-friendly and convenient location for day trips. Enjoyed in-door/out-door living, grilling on the deck and even used the fireplace in the evening.

Very comfortable place to stay, cute and very clean in side. The deck outside is large, with a table and a beautiful view. Lots of birds. Our small dog was able to be off leash, which she loved. She's good about staying close to us. Close to the town of Freeland and close to several parks. The pot of flowers on the deck was a little sad though, a couple of the plants had died. Being a gardener this bothered me. I kept wanting to weed and prune!

Weekend getaway

My husband, our border collie, and I traveled to Whidbey Island from Seattle for a quick weekend getaway. Rebekah’s property was perfect for our visit to the island. Very well provisioned, tranquil accommodation. Lovely view of the ocean and delightful ocean theme throughout the property. We enjoyed nearby parks and hiking during the day and then the warmth of the fireplace and playing board games in the evening. Thank you Becky!

The main thing i liked is how clean the place was. Enjoyed watching the boat traffic. It was easy to find. Great deck.Were there in November and the fire place keep it warm. Did not need extra heat. Great place to stay. Will be back.

Peace and quietude

Beautiful beach mother-in-law bungalow

I didn’t read through the entire description until a couple of days before our stay. I was worried about owner being onsite, just for privacy. However, Becky is kind and gracious and we had the best experience. She had put together a lot of cute signs around the place with explanation of how everything works. Although we were not in the home much due to my daughter getting married I was beyond pleased and slept extremely well. Everything was clean and well cared for. Thank you.

Delightful

We went to Whidbey Island with a family of nine and one couple stayed in this place with their small dog. Every one of us, though, would love to stay here in the future. The place is darling and clean, in a great location with a wonderful view. Becky is a fabulous host, and we really appreciated how incredibly gracious and communicative she was. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!

Very relaxing stay!

I just got back from a lovely stay at this VRBO on Whidby Island. I was there for a wedding, but also getting over a bad case of jet lag. The host was easy to reach through the VRBO site. Freeland was so peaceful and the VRBO itself was very well thought out. I loved that it had a tankless water heater so I could have a long shower in the morning. Also, I was happy to see that they have an electric kettle, which I used for my morning coffee pourover. I'd definitely recommend this to others and would stay here again if I went back to the area.

Per the friends who stayed there. Cleanliness was the problem. Also batteries in electric appliances were low and beeped constantly. They reported that it appeared that there was little attention paid to overall quality and cleanliness
