This cabin built in 2011 is a 3-bedroom, 3.5 bath cedar log cabin sitting in the midst of over a hundred acres of adjacent forest. There are just a few steps down to the private pond. The plentiful fish, birds, and dragonflies are just part of the bucolic scene. Itâs wonderfully secluded from all the hubbub of everyday life, but a short scenic drive to Nashville and Brown County State Park, or the quaint town of Story. The lovely city of Columbus, or the Edinburgh Outlets are only 1/2 hour from here, as are the many adventures of Brown County.
This roomy mountain-style log cabin has a friendly open floor plan that easily accommodates up to 8 people. Come on in and sit around the gas log fireplace in Dadâs recliner, Grampaâs recliner sofa, or one of Momâs cozy swivel chairs in the corner. The gorgeous yet comfy Great Room shares its vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, and 46â HD Smart TV with Blu-Ray with the dining room, and the very well equipped kitchen. Downstairs you will find a basement entertainment room with pool table, foosball, a 60" big screen TV and the bar.
Dine outdoors, or in the roomy dining room, or at the bar on the spacious kitchen counter, or...
When sleep beckons, the king-size log bed is most restful in the main floor Master Bedroom, with its attached bath with Momâs soaker tub, Dadâs shower, and the roomy walk-in closet. The bedroom upstairs boasts another king-size log bed PLUS 2 twin beds, and its own walk-in closet. The upstairs suite is adjacent to its own spacious full bath and opens to the cozy loft for games, puzzles, or just enjoying the views. Back on the main floor there is the homey âQuilt Bedroomâ with its queen-size bed, and the main bathroom.
Outside you can settle into a cozy chair on the 36â deck. Maybe youâll see a great blue heron stalking fish in the pond; see or hear an owl, a hummingbird, or a great pileated woodpecker. The covered front porch or the sweeping view from the glass-front great room can keep you out of the elements for as long as you wish, but the close-by hot tub beckons you to bask out among the trees and enjoy the views day or night. Perhaps youâll try to catch a bluegill or largemouth bass or help the kids search for âMister Bigâ (one of the resident grass carp) from atop the rocks, along the dam, or one of those little coves over on the east side. Save plenty of time for badminton, croquet, bocce ball, and lawn darts in the play yards, or maybe just a whole lot of sitting and listening to the quiet. Sure Beats Workinâ!
Slip down to the patio for a picnic. Gather your folding chairs or just sit on the comfy Adirondack chairs to make sâmores around the campfire pit down at waterâs edge. The frogs and crickets will join your sing-along come evening. The deer and turkeys donât mind you visiting, if you stay really still. And, oh, the stars on a clear night! This is 20 acres of wooded paradise, the way we love itâŠand soon you will too.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.
Come back again next season, next year, frequently, to see and enjoy this wonderfully relaxing place and see how it just gets better. Ahh!!! Sure Beats Workinâ!!
