The beach is covered in a mixture of grey flint and chalk pebbles that make a unique sound as the waves rise and fall onto the shore. There is sand below the low water mark and some sandy areas to sit if you walk to the more eastern side of the bay. There is also a rock ledge revealed at low tide at this side, which is great for rock pooling with your kids.Smugglers once used the caves around the bottom of the chalk cliffs that are exposed at low tide – if you wish to explore them it is best to find a local guide as you can become cut off by the tide. Kayaking is the ideal way to see them and the other small bays. This beach is popular for surfing and water sports and boats will moor offshore to come ashore. Please do make us aware at the time of booking / in advance of your stay if you require this service, so we can arrange to take payment and have the linen made available. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties. This property does not accept any more than 3 adults at any given time, this is due to the size of the sofa bed.
