The apartment is located in a high and quiet area of ​​Funchal, in a gated community 10 minutes' walk from the city center. This area has good access to the highway and city, with buses all the time, even at the condo door. It has a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, laundry room, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and dining room (with sofa bed) with a magnificent view of Funchal and the sea. In the New Year you can watch the fireworks from the windows and the building common terrace with a privileged view of the entire bay of Funchal. It has parking for one car and communal outdoor garden. Across the street there is a gym open 24 hours a day. Its good location provides easy access to various areas of the island and its attractions. The airport is 20 minutes, the shopping malls to 5 minutes, hypermarket and traditional Madeiran market 2 min. car, the Botanical Garden, the Berardo Foundation, the Haystack Golf 10 minutes, the beach / pools 5 minutes, the center of town 3 minutes. In Funchal, the weather is mild all year.

Nice apartment with a great view

My partner and I spent 10 nights here and really enjoyed it. The apartment is located in rather quiet part of Funchal which we really liked. The parking garage was really practical. The apartment itself was clean and everything we needed was there. Our host Bruno was super nice

First time I have been to Madeira and it is delightful. Weather was a bit mixed at first but then sunny and warm with no rain.The apartment is nice with a beautiful view, the only downside for us elderly folk was the hills in Funchal and the rest of the island.. I would recommend the apartment

Relaxing location with great view

Bruno was a great host, accommodating our very late arrival. The apartment has a great view, and the area is quiet and safe. It’s about a 25 min walk to the downtown. The kitchen is set up for basic cooking. The parking is secure - however it can be very tricky to get into the parking spot if you have a larger vehicle when others are parked there. Overall we’d recommend this place.

Beautiful view in quiet location

Bruno is an excellent host. He met us at the property and gave a very thorough description of all the amenities and features of the apartment. The property is very clean. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is good bus service and the stop is literally next door. Bruno is very knowledgeable about local attractions and very quick to respond to any requests for information. There is onsite parking, if you rent a car, but don't rent a large car. The view is fabulous.

Exactly as described. Located above the city with good views. Apartment was clean and pleasant. Perfect first stop on our adventure around the island. Friendly accommodating hosts Fatima and Bruno, who greeted us when we arrived. Thank you for the extra welcoming gifts as we were celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary. Madeira is Wonderful

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Bruno was very helpful and exceeded expectations when he mailed a package of forgotten items back to me. Thank you so much. I think the apartment is best suited for people who are fit and can walk easily as it is uphill. There is, however, a bus stop at the front of the house, but there can be gaps. Thanks for the experience.

Just right!

Property owner, Bruno, is very gracious and accommodating. The apartment is very comfortable. Other residents in the buildingwere very quiet. We’re happy to have easy parking right on the property. Very close to large supermarket. And even a Takeaway restaurant. No air-conditioning or central system but our weather over all 6 days was comfortable and didn’t need AC. But with the windows open, we did deal with mosquitoes because the weather has been hot and rainy right before our visit. There was one plug in insect repellent which works quite well. the breezes is passing through the house are fantastic. If we return, we would definitely rent Bruno’s apartment again.

Great apartment

The apartment is situated on the outskirts of funchal about a 20 minute downhill walk. The walk up is not recommended in the heat but once we sussed the vagaries of the bus network it was not an issue. Bruno was very helpful and even sent some recommendations of restaurants etc on whatsapp before we arrived. He arranged a taxi from the airport and met us at the apartment. Although we didn't need to contact him while we were there he made it clear he'd be available if needed. He even let us stay in the apartment on the day we were leaving as our flight was quite late so we didn't have to worry about checking out or leaving our suitcase anywhere. It was very hot while we were there and the apartment is not air conditioned. Bruno may want to think about buying a fan for the apartment but i would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and would stay here again.

Lovely apartment

A lovely apartment, very clean, well furnished and equipped. The living room has a big comfortable sofa and a great view to the harbour in the distance. As a bonus there is access to a large terrace with views to the sea and mountains and with the collapsible chairs provided we could relax in the sun with a glass of wine. Bruno is a most excellent host and was very helpful in arranging a taxi transfer from the airport with the advantage that the driver knew the apartment and called Bruno on our arrival so he was at the gate to the apartment to greet us. Bruno explained how everything worked and provided a most warm welcome. We found it easy to contact Bruno via WhatsApp before arriving and during our stay. We walked into town and occasionally enjoyed a coffee or orange juice at the café in the garden of the Museu da Quinta das Cruzes about half way down. The museum’s garden is very pleasant and has good views. We usually took a bus back using Google maps Go feature to show us the route, the nearest bus stop, the bus number and scheduled time. Being able to track our position along the bus route made it easy to know when to press the stop button and navigate back to the apartment. We had good lunches/meals at Restaurante dos Combatentes (corner of municipal gardens), Barreirinha Bar Café (good sea view, east of yellow fort), Museu da Quinta das Cruzes café, Restaurante Brasa (in a peaceful square) and others!

Super accueil de Bruno qui a éte au petit soin pour nous. L appartement est situé proche du centre dans les hauteurs, au calme avec vue sur la mer. Pour plus de confort il faut louer une voiture. Cela petmet de sillonner cette ile magnifique.

Super séjour dans cet appartement !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'appartement de Bruno. L'appartement est très propre, le linge de maison est fourni et propre. Bien qu'il ne soit pas dans le centre ville (nous le savions avant de réserver), l'appartement est très bien situé, près de la sortie de la voie rapide et à quelques minutes d'un supermarché. Attention la place de parking est étroite mais nous nous sommes garés également à l'extérieur sans souci (stationnement gratuit à proximité et dans la résidence). Bruno a été très réactif à toutes nos demandes, nous a conseillé sur des sorties et activités à faire. Bref, ce fut parfait, nous recommandons cet appartement :-) Merci beaucoup à Bruno ainsi qu'à sa belle soeur et son frère qui sont venus pour le check in.

Beau logement et très bien situé

Logement très propre et très bien équipé situé dans une résidence calme et sécurisée avec une belle vue sur la mer. Le garage pour la voiture est vraiment appréciable avec un accès aux étages par l'ascenseur. Proche d'une grande surface, très pratique pour faire les courses... L'accès à la voie rapide pour les excursions est très facile et très proche ainsi que pour se rendre au centre ville de Funchal. Propriétaire très sympathique, disponible, de bons conseils et bien veillant.
