Comfortable stay with some drawbacksOur off-season stay had a mix of positives and challenges. On the good side, the beds were very comfortable and the home was stocked with plenty of linens, which made settling in easy. The location is convenient to Seawall restaurants and beaches, and the off-season affordability was a definite plus.There were, however, some issues with the property’s condition that future guests should be aware of. Several areas of wall plaster were crumbling, and some floorboards were splitting enough to see daylight through them, which also allowed bugs to get inside. The surrounding neighborhood felt a bit sketchy once you ventured away from the coastal strip.A few things fell in the neutral category: furnishings were quite sparse, but functional; the kitchen and bathroom supplies were adequate; and the digital handbook provided by the property management company was helpful. One logistical challenge was that the address listed on VRBO didn’t take us to the actual entrance—we had to rely on an alternate address sent via text to locate the correct access point.Overall, it was a reasonably comfortable and affordable stay, but the property would benefit greatly from some repairs and clearer directions for future guests.

The home is close enough to the beach and local sites to walk to, easy location for deliveries. The home was the perfect size for our group, and exceptionally clean. The owners were immediately accessible by text, everything was perfect for a weekend getaway with no worries! Would definitely stay here again!

Beach-a-rific

We were originally surprised by the unusual layout-like a bathroom with three doors-but it turned out to be a very functional set-up. The dine in kitchen was small and exceedingly well laid out. We did breakfast and lunch in everyday with our family of 5 and it was easy to cook and enjoyable to dine in. The laundry room is really nice. And it's super close to the beach, Pleasure Pier, and a ton of restaurants.

We loved the location and setup of the house, however the on-line pictures were very deceiving. There were multiple rooms with holes and damaged walls, the kitchen ceiling was cracked heavily, and the kitchen table was falling apart. The outdoor patio furniture was extremely rusty and one of the chairs cut my wife's leg.

Home was perfect! Location could not be better! Clean, cute, well appointed. My dogs loved the fenced yard, and we loved being able to walk to pleasure pier and restaurants. Check in was easy, and the hosts were great. Highly recreccomend!

Galveston Comfort

Great location, clean and comfortable. Everything anyone could possibly need for a long weekend with out-of-state friends. This house provided plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 service dog. The fenced yard was great for all of us to spend a little time outside on the private patio. Friendly and safe neighborhood with lots to see and do within walking distance, even for those with mobility limitations. The thoughtful management even provides bikes, wagon and boards for your beach trip 2 blocks away. Would recommend this place with confidence to anyone!

Amazing babymoon

We stayed here with our toddler while I was pregnant with our second. I am in love with this location! Convenience is key with little ones. There is also an awesome playground right across the street! Walking distance to food, beach and pleasure pier. The house is lovely, comfortable and perfect for our little family.

Typical old beach house, reservation mishap

The property was well enough; we had difficulty with the check in process. When I booked on Vrbo, I booked the front house, and all the check in information I received was for the front house. When we arrived, there was a family already inside the front house. I called in to the host, they loooked up my reservation and confirmed it was for the front house and they would have to call me back. They called me back, apologizing profusely and told me this never happens. They asked me if I was fine staying in the back house because it is pretty much the same space. After driving all day and arriving after sundown, I was in no position to argue and it really set the tone. My code wouldn't work on the back house front door, I called in, they reset and it still didnt work. We tried one last time then when that didn't work, they gave me the backup code, which seemed a little sketch to me because it wasn't a personal code. Upon entering the house, it is your typical old beach house, but one concern that is worth looking into, the walkway to get to the back house is overgrown and not the most friendly to luggage. A bit of plant management here would go a long way. I will say it was absolutely wonderful having the host be responsive when we did have this issue arise and do all they could to remedy quickly. I have not had that same experience with Vacasa booking.

Great place

Excellent location, especially if you have teens. It is located across the street from a park with gym, tennis courts, skate park, etc. Also a dog park is located there. In addition, it is a short walk to seawall beaches, pleasure pier, and places to eat. The house had 2 bicycles, and a wagon filled with everything one needs for the beach. Only issues were unmowed grass in front yard which was probably due to recent hurricane and no outside hose to rinse off sand. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and I would stay there again.

Long weekend

Comfortable house with easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Nice activity add-ons especially the haunted tour. We could have used a few more towels since there were 5 of us and some extra pillows and bedding for the fold-out couch. Everything else was great! I would definitely recommend this house for any family.

Great Location

This is a great location within walking distance to the beach and they even had a wagon to help with getting all of your towels, boogie boards, and coolers there. Kitchen was perfect size for our family and although the house is smaller, it had plenty of space for us all to spread out. We will definitely be back!
