Don't let your time here feel like it is 'Wasted Time.' As soon as you walk in the front door, all your worries will melt away and you can focus on the important things - grilling, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Our house enjoys beach views from the front steps and the back balcony. Gaze off the back balcony to a tranquil pond with a sparkling fountain.

Our house is located at the beautiful Pointe West resort on the west end of Galveston Island. Pointe West is a master planned development with private beach and is a one-of-a-kind location on the island. Our house is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and we are a 20 minute walk to the Beach Club, or a 2 minute drive in the golf cart. The Beach Club is truly a resort, with pools, a lazy river, hot tub, nature walk, restaurant, bar, fitness center, etc. The Beach Club charges $25.00 per person (4 and older) for the length of your stay. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PURCHASE 9 WRISTBANDS.

'Wasted Time' is designed to make you and your family comfortable. Cable TV and a DVD player are in the living room, the master bedroom, and the bunk bedroom for your enjoyment. All TV's are also equipped with Netflix. You'll find wireless high-speed internet and long distance calls in the US at no extra charge. Feel free to pack light, we have a washer and dryer for you to do a quick load of laundry. ***PETS STAY FREE***

Downstairs in the garage you will find everything you need for the beach; chairs, canopy tent, boogie boards and a wagon to take it all with you. You will also find a patio underneath the house complete with picnic table, chairs, hammock, and a charcoal grill for you to enjoy. All you need to do is bring yourself, we have the rest taken care of. For those of you with small children, we also have a stroller and pack-n-play for your convenience. We also have a 6 passenger golf cart that IS INCLUDED in your rental rate. Please feel free to use it to go to the Beach Club or to explore Pointe West. **NOTE: the golf cart CANNOT be driven on the beach!**

Seven Seas Grocery Store is the closest fully stocked grocery store and is 7 miles from the house. The Strand, Pleasure Pier, Academy Sports, Walmart, Randalls, and the rest of Galveston is approximately 30 minutes from the house.

*NOTE: I have no sub-agents renting my property for me and you will only deal with me. Rent with confidence if you are renting from me through VRBO or Homeaway.

The location was nice and quiet. The beaches were nearly deserted (yay!) in November. The golf cart was fun, but we didn’t really use it during our stay. Nice to have a rolling cart to lug beach toys down to the beach, which was about a 5 minute walk. The beds were comfy, but maybe a little bit saggy in the middle of the main bedroom’s mattress. All in all a good stay at the beach during a very quiet time!

WE LOVE THIS HOUSE and the wonderful communication

Everything was wonderful as always. We really like this because of the golf cart, and it is only 2 stories. It is very clean, and they have really fun toys and beach equipment for all ages.

We were only staying a day and a half before a cruise, but we all said we want to come stay for longer! Loved this house! So clean and organized. Absolutely loved all the fun beach stuff in the garage, esp the wagon to carry it all. Location is an easy walk to the beach! Beach was not busy. I think it is quieter on this end of the beach. We loved that! We will come again!

Lovely family beach getaway. Perfect location walking distance to beach. Lovely views and neighborhood. Great clubhouse and amenities. Very cute ice cream truck servicing the area. House is spacious and clean with all you need to enjoy your stay. We will be back!

My daughter, a family friend and I stayed in this lovely home and absolutely loved our time there. The home is beautiful, clean, has great amenities, a lovely view from the balcony and the property manager, Morgan was quick to answer any questions we had! Fantastic Once Again!

We were there in early October and enjoyed the quiet beach. We were up before sunrise to make the very short walk to the beach to watch the sun come up. Great place for photographers. The floorplan is thoughtfully laid out, affording space and privacy. Beautiful furnishings. Ww packed light, knowing everything we needed (and more) for the beach was provided by the owners, even down to the beach towels. We hated to leave, so we didn't! We got in touch with the owner and it worked out that we were able to extend our stay. This was our second time to stay at Wasted Time, but it won't be our last!
