Charming Historic Loft in Downtown Galveston

Welcome to Market Street Loft D– a stunning, spacious historic loft in the heart of downtown Galveston. Enjoy high lofted ceilings, oversized windows with views and a beautifully updated kitchen. The king size bed in the primary bedroom plus the full over full bunk bed nestled off the main living space comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. Whether you’re looking to spend time on The Strand, the beach, or a quick overnight before a cruise departure, this loft is the perfect home base for your trip.

Location: Historic Downtown area of Galveston, Texas, half mile from the cruise ship terminal.

This is a historic building with early 20th century building materials and single-pane windows. Noise may be present.

Beach Access: Less than a 5 minute drive to the beaches at the Seawall.

WINTER TEXAN RATE: If you’re trying to escape to the Gulf Coast for the winter. Please ask us about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

Rent BeachBox: Looking for beach gear for your Galveston getaway? We have you covered! Beach chairs and tents can be ready at the loft upon your arrival. Message us for details and rates.

Pest Control: Due to the coastal environment, mosquitoes & seasonal pests may be present. Professional pest control treatments are performed monthly.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet Policy: One pet is welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Parking: Free and paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, while the dining area offers a comfortable space to gather and share stories. In the living room, sink into the plush seating and unwind with a movie on the flat-screen TV, all while basking in the abundant natural light streaming through the large windows.

When it's time to rest, retreat to the cozy bedroom, where a luxurious king-sized bed awaits, promising a restful night's sleep. The loft also features a full-over-full bunk bed in the main living area, perfect for accommodating additional guests or children.

With its prime location, unique character, and modern comforts, Market Street Loft D is the perfect base for your Galveston adventure. Whether you're exploring the historic Strand, strolling along the seawall, or simply relaxing in your stylish loft, we're confident you'll create unforgettable memories during your stay.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 5 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Great location to food , shopping and beach. Pics do not show how big this space actually is. We had three teens and the bunk beds were perfectly and plenty of seating for everyone. Kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook meals. Some of the reviews mentioned the windows not closing all the way and although there were 4 that had the foam in the cracks the AC worked great and it stayed nice and cool the whole stay no matter the time of day. Mind you it’s an older building in the middle of July so that’s great!!! Bathroom is on the small side but plenty of mirrors around the space to do hair and makeup at . There were a few other families staying at the same time in the other rentals but it’s a nice and quiet space. We come to Galveston every few years and try new spaces to stay but I honestly will probably book here again.

Convenient location and in easy walking distance to the Strand historic area. This property needs some work. There was no shower handle making it difficult to operate. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was barely a small stream. A lot of dust behind the bed and the whole loft smelled musty. A little extra effort and this would be a nice place to stay.

Wonderful

Our stay was all over wonderful and relaxing. 3 queens size beds, full bathroom, kitchen and living area. Was very clean and had everything we needed. It has a full ac unit, wall unit, And window unit so we were very comfortable temp wise. While the master bedroom bed was a bit firmer than expected the other 2 bunk beds were very comfortable. We will be staying here again for sure!

Overall, the property was absolutely beautiful! It was spotless and well-maintained upon our arrival. The hosts were incredibly kind and easily accessible whenever we had questions. The listing is in a fantastic location, just a short distance from several beaches, docks, and activities in Galveston.

The place was spacious, clean, and cool it felt just like home and I was able to relax comfortably. Being so close to the cruise terminal was a huge bonus.

Perfect location.

The location was perfect to walk around downtown. The place has a lot of charm. Woke up to mouse droppings all along the walls luckily nothing got into any of our food. We kept tripping over a place where the floor is coming up. Most of the windows do not lock or even close all the way so if you have allergies, get ready to sneeze. Also you are on the second floor so watch your children around them.

Cozy Stay Over

We had a one-night stay prior to our cruise so we looked for a place relatively close to the cruise port, so we chose this loft downtown. The loft was all that we had expected. Finding the entrance was a little confusing but we did find the door. Once in the loft was spacious and the 6 of us got a great night rest. It is walking distance from a lot of things. We found a nice little local coffee shop a half block away where we got breakfast before checking out. I would stay there again if ever in Galveston in the future.

We loved our stay here! We came into town for Chili Fest and were pleased that we were only 3 blocks away from the strand! The Loft is spacious and clean. We got lucky and were able to park right in front of the building for free! The loft came with everything we needed. It is a historic building so when the wind picked up, the loft would make noises. However, we didn't mind one bit! It was awesome being a piece of Galveston history!! We definatly will be back!

Nice loft

Nice view of town. It is along the emergency vehicle route as we experienced three events of fire/ambulance responses down the street in one night. Also many stairs to climb.

Just Like The Photos

A gorgeous place in a great location. We got free parking right in front of the building. The loft was just magnificent, better than the photos. We had a little confusion with using the temperature controls but figured it out. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was super comfortable. If I'm there on a weekend again, I may choose to stay in one of the lofts on the other side of the hall because there was a little too much loud socializing going on down on the street at night. Otherwise, absolutely loved it!
