Cozy 2 bedroom cabin located in Chalet Village about 3 miles from light #10 in downtown Gatlinburg. You will enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. LeConte from the deck while enjoying morning coffee, or from the hot tub on the lower deck. Featureing 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 2 full baths as well as a half bath. The couch on the lower level (rec. room) makes a queen bed as well giving us maximum occupancy of 6 people total.
Main level offers an open kitchen and living room area to gather with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windos to enjoy the magnificent views. A wood burning fireplace. A queen bedroom and full bath.
The upper level offers the second bedroom with a full bath and additional seating areas in the loft.
The lower level is our rec. room with a pool table, 1/2 bath and additional lounging space as well as the hot tub on the deck wich also enjoys the mountain view.
We are located in Chalet Village about 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the main entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We are bout a 15 minute drive to Action Packed Pigeon Forge. Our cabin is located in the mountains. The roads are paved however they are mountain roads and in the event of snow you will need a 4 wheel drive and/or snow chains.
This cabin was perfect for our family getaway! It was spotless and had everything we needed. Most evenings, we were treated to the sight of a mama bear and her three cubs playing on the deckâsuch a special experience. The kids loved playing pool, and the view was stunning. Highly recommend for a relaxing and unique stay!
We loved the cabin! Our children loved all the "levels". A few cobwebs but overall very clean. If I'm nitpicking, the view was slightly obstructed due to overgrowth but still a great view (just could have been better). Also, definitely a little friend running around at night. Lots of scurrying. We did get to see a momma bear and her cubs which just made the trip! We would return, maybe with a hatchet next time
Overall, the visit was good. The cabin was nice. It is a little dated and could use a little bit more cleaning. Remote controls are missing batteries. The stairs to the upstairs and basement are quite steep and probably not a good fit for small children or the elderly. Cabin was well stocked and they were plenty of towels. It would be helpful to have hooks or towel bars in the upstairs bathroom to hang the towels on. The drive to the cabin was quite steep and narrow. Larger vehicles would have a hard time turning around to go back down.
Overall the property was as stated. Seems like there may need to be some updates done. We loved the views and the quietness of the area. The location was great for us because we were there to do some hiking. The owner was very responsive when a need arose.
Not only is it a beautiful and clean cabin, the scenery is amazing! Shortly after arrival we were greeted by a bear. We know where we will stay when we return.
We had a wonderful stay, check in was fast and effortless! Host was amazing, very understanding and fast to respond! Had a small hiccup which host responded immediately and yook care of to the best of their ability! Thank you for letting us stay, would love to come back!
Great location! Very close to Gatlinburg and entrance to smokies. Itâs a climb to get there but once we stepped foot on property it was an amazing feeling. Huge window and great back deck with a spectacular view. The basement was a great area to escape and play pool or just relax. The kitchen and 1st floor were perfect for family meals, game nights and bonding time.
While the listing somewhat spells this out, the roads getting there are suprisingly steep for a paved road. If there was any ice or snow it would be...interesting. The location and neighborhood was nice other than there is currently close by housing construction that was fairly loud at times. Lots of power saws and hammering and they worked long hours. The view from the deck and the living room provided a nice mountain landscape. The chairs both inside and out made soaking up the view very relaxing. We put the pool table and hot tub to good use after each day of exploring the national park.Perhaps I missed it in the listing, but the grill is a charcoal grill, not a gas grill. That was disappointing and too much of a hassle to bother with since we did not bring any charcoal.Overall, this met our needs and was mostly what we were looking for in the area. Because of the crowded nature of the surrounding towns, we ended up spending more time at the cabin than we anticipated, which worked out perfectly fine and made for a more relaxing trip. It was a comfortable place to hang out.
We had a great time at the cabin. The property was exactly as listed. The place was very clean. We loved the view!!! We really enjoyed the pool table and our kids liked the hot tub. Check in and check out were easy peasy. We didnât see any bears at the cabin, but did see some and elk in the park. We would definitely rent again.
My wife and I stopped in Gatlinburg during a slow, scenic drive back to Ohio from Georgia. Our stay at this cabin was a highlight of this trip! The views from the deck were incredible (especially so at night, when the mountainside is peppered with the lights of other cabins) and the location wasn't too bad to get to. Beware - the last half mile or so is some pretty steep driving! We did alright, but it was daunting at first! Very responsive and communicative host as well!
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin! The house fit our needs perfectly. Our boys loved the pool room, we loved the proximity to the National park and Gatlinburg. The hot tub was a must after hiking to the top of Mt. LeConte. Weâd love to come back again!
We came for spring break with our 3 children and a friend of our daughters. The views were amazing and within minutes, the hot tub and pool table were being put to use! We booked until Friday, but ended up leaving Thursday evening due to the threat of snow; the roads are steep but worth it!
We enjoyed our stay at the Highlander. It had everything we needed and was very clean. We wished the hot tub was on the upper deck so we could enjoy the view. It could use a few updates but nothing too big. The stairs to the lower floor are very steep and you have to navigate them to use the hot tub. Very quiet area and convenient to Ober, downtown, the national park and Pigeon Forge.
Everything about this unique mountain top chalet was perfect, highly recommend. The driveway is a bit challenging but you donât get that private mountain top view without climbing the mountain.
The cabin was great...exactly what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short and left less tham 24 hours after arrival due to issues with my all wheel drive and the forecasted 6-8 inches of snow. We were worried we would not make it back down the windy driveway and road with no all wheel drive.
With cabins like this, thereâs no reason to ever look at a hotel, condo, or anything else. We were shocked at how clean the cabin was. I was concerned about privacy before we arrived. Some cabins donât post pics of how close other properties are. We felt completely secluded. The views were amazing through the huge windows and the two decks. Beware the drive up the mountain is steep and some turns were tight with severe drops on the sides, but if you can deal with that, the cabin is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended.
The property was clean and cozy. The view was magnificent! We did have an encounter with a bear walking on the front porch, but luckily we were inside!
