Gatehouse 106: Walk To Town, Outdoor Pool

Many visitors want to be close to the action in downtown Gatlinburg and don't necessarily want to spend as much or need all that a cabin has to offer. But that doesn't mean you need to stay in a hotel room and lose out on all the benefits of a vacation rental. At Gatehouse 106 you will have a fireplace, terrace, large sitting area, full kitchen to prepare in condo meals and access to a seasonal outdoor pool. More importantly, Gatehouse is the most recently developed condo building that is walking distance to downtown. It's a newer building that is private, well maintained and quiet. so you have all the conveniences of being in Gatlinburg in a newer unit at cabin value pricing!

You will enjoy a gas fireplace, upgraded kitchen, seating for 4 in the great room and 2 private king suites with 2 full baths and upgraded bedding. Perhaps you want to relax on the stream-side terrace or maybe use the outdoor seasonal pool.

Washer/dryer and cable TV is included for your convenience. FREE WIFI

This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking my be staying in the cabin.

We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are not pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

Pros: Location; nicely landscaped, quiet and clean complex; spacious unit; comfy chairs on the balcony; nice view of the creek; great water pressure; convenient to grocery store; washer and dryer in unit; excellent communication from the unit’s property management company; and first floor unit close to the parking lot and enjoyable pool.Cons: the entire unit could use a thorough cleaning and painting; both bedspreads were stained; some of the towels were more gray than white; the jets in the en-suite tub were dirty; no grab bars on that tub/shower combo; and the carpet was stained.The cons were reported to the unit’s property management company and I felt the issues were taken seriously.We had a relaxing break and the location was convenient.

Clean great place but with some minor issues

The condo was as described and was clean and well organized. Appeared to have new carpet which caused the doors to drag and be stiff as they were not cut to adapt to the higher carpet. Had a small Maintenace issue that was handled quickly and easily. The view was awesome, and communication was on point. Now for the two downfalls we had. The furniture in the Living room was very uncomfortable as in hard when sitting on it and caused body ach if sat on for any extended amount of time. The water from the kitchen sink facet had an odor of mildew with small gnats coming from the drain but the water in the bathrooms was fine. Was just the kitchen. Overall, I would recommend it given you understand the downfalls we had and can accept.

Fall Getaway

The layout of the unit is awesome, the view from the patio spectacular, and the location incredible. However updates are needed. The carpets are worn and spotted, some of the tiles are cracked and broken, the ice maker did not work, and the sinks in the bathrooms did not drain well. We still had a great time and would consider coming back.

The location was great just on the out skirts of town. The stream off the balcony was great. Clean very nice. The problem was the beds and furniture are old and some what broken down. We came prepared from life experiences. But we had a good time.

Beautiful location

The condo is beautiful and has all the amenities anyone could need. It is not as close to town as I first thought but still was convenient to everything. The beds were in need of replacement but everything else was great! I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the river below. It was amazing and so relaxing. I will rent this location again if it is available.

Not what we thought

The condo was okay for our stay. We were under the impression from the listing that it was closer to downtown than what it actually is. The bed was very hard and it was tough to get a good nights rest. The master shower was horrible so we ended up showering in the guest bath the remainder of the trip. This would have been a bigger issue if friends or family had been with us. On the last night, we found a creepy crawly bug in the master bedroom. The river is nice but it is loud. We read the reviews beforehand and thought it sounded like a good place but will definitely stay somewhere else when we return to Gatlinburg.

Spacious condo clean. Well stocked kitchen washer and dryer. Wet bar and a lovely gas fireplace with timer. I enjoyed the walks to stroll through Gatlinburg The only thing the condo needs is new beds and pillows. The mattress has past it's prime. Other than that we enjoyed it all. Both bedrooms had Tv in it plenty of seating throughout the condo.

Not walkable to Gatlinburg No nearby trolley stops

I feel mislead. The property was absolutely not walkable to downtown Gatlinburg unless you are a professional hiker. Neither was there a trolley stop nearby. Had to drive car everywhere and pay for parking. No hairdryer in either bathrooms. I frequent Gatlinburg rentals and this is the worst one I have ever chosen.
