June in the Smokies — summer is here and the mountains are fully alive! This modern 3-story chalet on Ski Mountain has east-facing decks built for golden panoramic sunrises, a private swim spa, outdoor TV deck perfect for summer barbecues under the open sky, firepits on two levels, seasonal pool access at three nearby clubhouses, and a game room the whole family will fight over. Two king suites, bunk room with rock climbing wall, gourmet coffee bar and EV charger. Every detail exactly as described.
June is the month the chalet truly comes alive. Warm evenings on the deck, the smell of the grill, a cold drink in hand and the Smoky Mountain ridgeline stretching out in front of you — this is what summer in the Smokies looks like from Ski Mountain. The main level sets the tone the moment you walk in. A striking 3-sided electric fireplace anchors the open-concept space, drawing everyone naturally toward the centre of the room. The 65" Smart TV faces a generous seating arrangement of plush leather sofas and designer accent chairs, with Smoky Mountain views framing the windows on the other side. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the living area with stainless steel appliances, warm pendant lighting overhead, and a peninsula with bar stools that becomes the natural gathering spot whether you're prepping dinner or just catching up over coffee. Speaking of coffee, the full barista station covers every preference with an espresso machine, French press, and Keurig Duo that serves both K-pods and a full carafe. The dining table seats 8 comfortably for family meals indoors.
Head upstairs and both king suites are waiting at the top of the landing, each one a proper retreat. The primary suite has a king bed, electric fireplace, 55" Smart TV, and a spa-like ensuite with an oversized walk-in shower that feels like it belongs in a boutique hotel. The second suite matches it step for step with king bed, electric fireplace, 55" Smart TV, and an ensuite with a deep soaking tub that's hard to leave once you're in it. Both suites open directly onto the upper deck, so the first thing you experience every morning is the sunrise breaking over the eastern ridgeline before the rest of the house wakes up. Between the two suites, the upstairs hallway has a cosy reading nook overlooking the front, the kind of quiet corner that gets claimed early and fought over gently for the rest of the trip.
The lower level belongs to the kids and the competitors. The bunk room has queen-over-queen bunks and a rock climbing wall built into the wall that younger guests make a beeline for the moment they spot it, supervised of course. The room has its own private bathroom, giving the lower level its own sense of independence from the rest of the house. Next door, the game room is a full evening's entertainment on its own: pool table, multicade arcade loaded with 60+ classic games, Golden Tee golf, board games, and a 65" Smart TV with leather sofa seating for spectators. Rain day or late night, it never gets old. The bathrooms throughout are fitted with modern floating vanities, anti-fog mirrors, and full-size toiletries replenished for your stay.
Outside, three levels of deck give every part of the day its own setting. Mornings belong to the main deck. East-facing with the sunrise coming straight at you as you settle into the hanging egg chair with your first coffee of the day. By afternoon it becomes the barbecue hub: gas grill fired up, gas firepit dining table set for 6, outdoor TV on, and the mountain air doing everything else. Every meal out here has a way of turning into a longer occasion than planned. As the evening cools, the upper deck firepit draws everyone up for s'mores and stargazing. One of those simple pleasures that guests consistently mention long after they've checked out. And whenever the swim spa calls, the lower deck is waiting. Slip in, let the jets do their work, and watch the Smoky Mountain views stretch out before you. It's the most popular feature on the property for a reason.
Families with young children will find a pack 'n play, highchair, baby bathtub, and kid-friendly dinnerware already set aside and ready to go. Cornhole is stored in the house for guests to set up and enjoy in the driveway when the mood strikes. The practical side of the stay is well covered too — high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated workspace, washer/dryer, parking for 2 vehicles in the private driveway with overflow at the end of the street, and a Level 2 EV charging station on-site for electric vehicle guests. Tesla owners please bring your own adapter.
This summer, guests also have access to three Chalet Village clubhouses with shared outdoor pools open Memorial Day through Labor Day, plus tennis court, two pickleball courts, and a fitness center available throughout your stay. All clubhouses are approximately 5 minutes away.
Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration runs June 15 through August 2 with extended park hours, summer entertainment across every stage, and the Sweet Summer Nights drone and fireworks show closing out every evening in Wildwood Grove — larger drones, new 3D animations, and a red, white & blue America's 250th anniversary theme this year. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 2.4 miles away — June is prime hiking season with clear trails, strong waterfalls, and black bears active along Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Ober Gatlinburg is just 2 miles up the road with the Tennessee Flyer coaster, Cloud Catcher ziplines, and the Sky Village Express chairlift at 3,455 feet.
