The vacation home was clean and had a wonderful aesthetic feel for area - well lit, both inside and out. The rating can easily be an 8+ with some modifications.
7 areas / suggestions of note:
1. could lead to legal action, so really should be addressed. To reach front entry door, you must climb 7 wooden steps with a railing only on one side (which is fine). However, 2 of the 4 mornings it had frosted overnight - if I wasn't wary of it - my foot nearly slid off the step - there needs to be some type of 'gripper' applied to the steps (obviously, ice would present even worse issues). Carrying luggage prevented easy use of the rail.
2. The place is capable of sleeping 4 adults - but think there is an undersized hot water heater - since shower went cold in roughly 10 minutes - on 1 shower.
3. Downstairs shower is uneven and there is a leak underneath that needs to be fixed. Looking at the floor nearby - it appears to be a known issue.
4. All room / ceiling fans need to be checked / serviced - some on high speed were noticeably shaking - and one wasn't working during stay.
5. In the main picture - the only place to gather - is at meal table; but as seen in picture, there are 4 wooden stools with no backs and no cushions.
6. Main Picture is taken at an angle that suggests more space between couch and wall-mounted tv than is truly there...tv should be lowered to avoid the 30-45 degree neck arch required to watch.
7. Remote & private - there should still be privacy blinds on doors.
