Welcome to Little Bear Castle! This is a two bedroom, two bathroom condo located right in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. It is walking distance to all shopping, entertainment, and restaurants! Step out on the patio and take in the mountain views and city life! The condo complex has a seasonal heated outdoor pool and hot tub! Each bedroom has a smart TV that can connect to your streaming services! There is an affordable washer and dryer located in the complex!

Helpful notes to set expectations:

Walkability & Hill: You can walk to downtown. The walk back includes a notable uphill section; if hills are a concern, consider a quick rideshare or drive back.

Community amenities: The on-site seasonal heated pool and hot tub is HOA-maintained. Occasional closures happen and availability can change day to day.

Building/parking: The building is older and the parking lot can feel tight, especially during busy times.

The apartment was absolutely perfect! Two sizeable bedrooms on opposite of the apartment, which allowed my husband and I to stay up later while our kiddos went to sleep. The kitchen was well stocked with items that we needed (with two children who have food allergies, kitchens are a key feature for us). The living space was comfortable and kid friendly.

The whole condo seemed welcoming with little things like salt and pepper, coffee, sugar, coffee liners, fish detergent, several towels. It was the cleanest place I've ever stayed. The decorations were beautiful! Everything was so cozy and the condo smelled good. Our balcony overlooked downtown Gatlinburg which was beautifully lit up. We couldn't have asked for a better place.

Everything was GREAT!! Communication was excellent. Never took more that 5 mins to get a reply when I had a question. Room had extra amenities like iron and ironing board and even a box fan. The views from both balconys were great. The walk to and from the strip was a little tough as stated in the post but was still better than paying 20 to park everytime we wanted to go to the strip to explore. Had an excellent time. Definitely worth staying at again. Would pick this spot to stay again 100 out a 100 times. Would recommend the stay.

This location is perfectly placed right on the edge of town, overlooking town, and within walking distance. There is a slight uphill walk, but well worth burning the calories gained while in town. The property is clean, quiet and quaint. The rooms a great and separated for some privacy. The kitchen is tight for two people but has everything you may need. Besides go out and eat. Save the kitchen for drinks and snacks. Definitely family friendly. The hosts are more than helpful and attentive. Be sure to read their messages. They put time and effort into it and they are useful. When a question came up, it was like they were sitting there waiting to respond. Even when the question was simple, they were there to answer. Can’t wait to get back.

The climb

Our room was nice and clean. It had everything you would need. The only thing was the walk to downtown Gatlinburg. It wasn't to horrible but for older people it could be a bit challenging. Its all downhill to get there and then uphill to get back. We had a question about parking when we got there and the owner was easy to contact and then they also sent a text the next day to make sure we got checked in ok.

Enjoyable Getaway

We had a great time in our three nights at the Chateau apt. Very close to downtown Gatlinburg and walkable which is important as parking averages 20 . But tbe walk back would be hard for anyone over 70 as it is quite steep. There is too much to do in a day or two. There is something for everyone.

Perfect for a short stay in the mountains

Property was clean and had plenty of space for two. Within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg and only about 15 minutes for some great hiking spots in the Smokey’s. Check in/check out were easy.

Definitely not fancy but the communication from the owner was great! Good location! Everything was clean!! Water was Hot! Bed was comfy but could use new pillows and more wash clothes. Also she had some Christmas decor to try and make it feel homey!

Good trip

It was a nice location with a decent view of the strip. The steep parking lot and lack of sidewalk on the road that leads out to the strip was a little sketchy to walk on, but it is not that far of a walk. You just gotta keep your head on a swivel, especially with kids while walking. I would be sure to bring extra trash bags and toilet paper (they do not supply much those). They have an onsite laundry facility that was $3.50 to wash and $3.00 to dry.

Comfortable, good for families

This place was very comfortable and convenient. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and there were even a few toys that made for a nice surprise for our daughter. Great place.
