Nestled just minutes from golf, biking, and hiking trails, adventure is always close by. Downtown Gaylord’s Alpine Village is only a short drive away. After a day of exploring, return for a family BBQ on the deck, unwind in the year-round hot tub, or gather around the fire pit (bring your own wood) for stargazing—and if you’re lucky, even the Northern Lights!

Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances, cookware, bakeware, utensils, spices, dishes, flatware, and kitchen linens. The dining room seats 6 comfortably, with 2 additional stools at the kitchen island.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Snowmobiling
Located in the heart of Northern Michigan’s Snow Belt, Gaylord averages over 180 inches of snow each year—perfect for winter sports lovers. With rolling hills and thousands of acres of forest, the area is a true snowmobile paradise.
Direct trail access: Hop on your sled right from the cabin—no trailering required! DNR Trail #4 is accessible by sled.
Plenty of trailer parking available (please ask in advance).
Driveway is plowed, but a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended in winter.
Skiing, Cross-Country, and Snowshoeing
Gaylord’s gentle terrain and deep snow make it ideal for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, with trails winding through scenic forests and abundant wildlife. Several downhill ski resorts are also nearby for alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Outdoor Fun
Association Park & Pool: Within walking distance, you’ll find pickleball and basketball courts, a playground, and a heated outdoor pool (open Memorial Day–Labor Day).
Clubhouse & Indoor Pool: Access available for a small daily fee (typically $10/person, paid onsite). Please request setup in advance. The pool is usually open daily (closed Tuesdays).
Golf
With 25 courses within 15–20 minutes, including championship courses designed by top architects, Gaylord is a golfer’s dream destination.
Hiking & Biking
Explore Otsego County’s extensive trail network for hiking, biking, and nature walks. Trails are free to use, with options for all skill levels.
Elk Viewing
Stop by the viewing area behind Jay’s Sporting Goods, where elk are fed daily. You’re guaranteed a close-up look at these majestic animals!
Wildlife & Foraging
