Tiny home on working gourmet mushroom farm just minutes outside of Gibsons.
So THAT"S how gourmet mushrooms are grown!!? Overlooking the beautiful Walker Creek with huge trees, wildlife and lots of sun, this rustic, clean, cozy tiny home was built with the lovely gully in mind. Walking to Gibsons along the farm stand road allows us to enjoy the quiet, rural beauty and bounty only minutes from town. Truly the best of both worlds. Tiny is a non-conventional tiny home on wheels with an open floor plan for the feel of space, light and air... We know that not everyone can use composting toilets in their homes but we are lucky here to be able to give back to the planet with our bucket toilets, grey water filters and composting.....well everything.... ;) so be sure to ask for a tour of the mushroom facility and join us for some truly down to earth living. :)
Check in was so easy, Sarah was nice and explained everything to do with the tiny house. The location was perfect and quiet. It rained most of the weekend and the getaway did not disappoint as this great place made it fun and we enjoyed our relaxation.
Very warm and hospitable, welcoming and super accommodating. At one point we had forgotten to get butter for a recipe and our host brought us some within a few minutes of asking. Sarah really went above and beyond. The space had so much personality, and made our whole trip feel all the more whimsical. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We absolutely loved our stay at Sarahâs! It was super cute, cozy and quiet, in a great location. A nice bike ride from the ferry, close to different restaurants & beaches. Would highly recommend YES cidery, cider was delicious, and the coffee/breakfast there in the morning was phenomenal! There was homemade Ukrainian food being sold on the property as well, which was an amazing surprise! Plus Sarah gave us a tour of her mushroom farm which was super cool and informative!! :) We will definitely be back!
Sarahâs tiny house isnât just charming, itâs crafted. Every detail feels intentional, from the creek whispering under the loft window to the clever use of space. The bed is divine, the kitchen's amazingly usable, and the location is perfect. If you're craving a quiet recalibration in the woods - with plumbing that respects the planet and a host who is present, warm, and clearly invested in the land - this is your place. 'Tiny' is a design poem: compact but spacious, serene without being sterile, and rich in character.Come for the tranquility, stay for the composting toilet that makes you feel like a responsible adult. Will absolutely return.
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this tiny home near Gibsons. It was a great base to explore some of the sunshine coast, but also a great place to hang out inside during the rain!
This little gem surrounded by green lush and away from the city was exactly what we needed. Sarah is lovely and accommodating and youâre so close to everything for any day trips! We made lasting memories here and would definitely recommend! Truly a home away from home :)
We loved our stay in the tiny house! There was plenty of room for my family of 4. It was a great escape from the city, close to the beach with beautiful nature surrounding. We also loved seeing the mushroom farm and learning about the process of growing mushrooms. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully someday we will!
Sarah was an awesome host! We got to learn about mushroom farming and composting and it was fun to stay in her beautiful tiny home. Sunday cider, Gibsons farm, and Whispering Firs park are all within walking distance and Gibsons town centre and Sechelt are short bus rides/drives. I highly recommend!
Sarah is the best host ever! Her property is so beautiful, clean, and cozy! One of the best places Iâve ever stayed at. I canât wait to visit Sarahâs tiny home again!
A fun place to chill while enjoying the beautiful Sunshine Coast
Sarah (host) was very friendly and available for communication. We enjoyed the tiny house immensely as something different. Close to Gibsons and a short drive to Sechelt. Keep your devices minimized and enjoy some quiet time!
We have always wanted to stay in a tiny home and this stay checked all the boxes and more. Clean & comfortable within a relaxing, quiet setting (other than natures voice) was just what we like. Our kids thought they were in a fairytale and loved it so much they didnt want to leave. Our host Sarah was very nice, informative, great with our kids and delightful to talk with. The mushroom farm is super interesting and the tour through the labor intensive process was not only educational but fun to see.
A perfect little home amongst the trees. Very high spec and with all the amenities and facilities to feel like youâre being pampered while helping to give back to the earth. A very generous and helpful host and such a peaceful, comfortable place to re-centre. I canât wait to come back.
Sarah is amazing. Her farm is amazing. And the tiny home she offers up for people like me is cozy, well designed, and inspiring. Shows what you can do with just a little space. Great retreat.
I actually didnât stay on the property (the booking was for my partner) but Sarah was a prompt and friendly communicator :) would love to visit the mushroom myself someday!
