Private 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home on 2 acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains
This is a nature loverâs dream vacation home. In the heart of the Shenandoah Valley enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the back porch and the Allegheny Mountains from the front porch! This 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath mid-century home has had extensive renovations to include all the modern comforts youâve come to expect in a vacation home. 10 minutes to grocery shopping or Natural Bridge. 15 minutes to historic Lexington and W&L and VMI universities. Great hiking trails and rivers nearby too! Home is equipped with electrical and septic hookup and a driveway big enough for an RV.
We welcome your four legged canine friends to Firefly Inn but we ask that they remain outside so as to avoid allergy issues with future guests. There is a pavilion to provide shelter from inclement weather. There are acres of fenced in yard for them to play and explore but Firefly Inn is not responsible for any injured pets or ones that may escape from the yard.
Enjoyed our stay! Fantastic location, easy to get to Natural Bridge and Dinosaur Kingdom. House was clean and check in was simple. Host was very responsive to questions and checked in to ensure we we had a great stay.
We absolutely loved our stay! The property was great; spacious and very clean. The host had great communication and ensured we had everything we could possibly need. The yard was great and perfect for our dog! Definitely recommend!
We absolutely loved this property! It doesnât matter if you walk out front or out back, you have an amazing view. You really donât have to leave the property if you donât want to. But if you do, thereâs a ton of fun outdoor activities in the area. We will be back!
Loved the property and beds were very comfortable. Wish there had been a larger coffee pot. It was a wonderful weekend. Had a small issue and host responded quickly.
Awesome experience! Easy checkin, extremely clean, and exactly as listed! I could not have asked for a better place to stay! The owner was extremely kind and helpful as well! I will definitely be coming back!
Michael was an amazing host, from letting us know before arrival that they had left the windows cracked for us to make sure the house was comfortable in the fall temps for this time of year to the little touches around the house that were thoughtful of situations that may arrive. I definitely recommend The Fire Fly Inn to anyone traveling to the Bueno Vista Area. We will certainly be back if our son decides to attend SVU.
Wonderful country peace... Great kitchen and supplies, but nowhere to eat but 1 long bench in the porch. No dresser drawers for undies and other folding clothes.
This property was everything it advertised. It exceeded our expectations. Convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Interstate 81. Quiet, super clean, well cared for home.
I suggest that at least one of the bathrooms should be handicap accessible. Also the front entrance needs an additional step. It is somewhat difficult for seniors
to step up and down the steps to either gain entrance or to exit the home. A small dining room table should be placed in the kitchen to make it easier for a small family to sit down and enjoy their meals . I strongly advise that the
issues above be rectified so as to bring the property up to codes. Doing so may prevent a lawsuit in the future .
This little farmhouse is as cozy as it could be. It was ideal for our family retreat with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The home offers beautiful mountain views, goats grazing out back, and all the modern conveniences of home! We truly enjoyed our stay!!
This home is located within miles of everything we wanted to visit. It is 15 minutes to Lexington where everything you need is located such as restaurants and grocery stores.
The home was very charming and had unexpected views in the front and back. The Hosts were amazing checking in before, during and after our stay. I will definitely recommend this home to anyone that will be planning a trip to Natural Bridge.
We stayed here while in town for a wedding and it was perfect for our stay! We had coffee and breakfast on the back deck and enjoyed the views. There is a ton of good hiking near by and close to downtown Lexington.
We had a wonderful stay at Firefly Inn this past weekend. The location was beautiful even in winter, I imagine fall would have spectacular views from both sides of the house. It was very clean and tidy. The host provided all that was needed and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
The owner was quick to answer my questions prior to booking. Upon arrival, the home was very welcoming, and warming. Will be booking another stay next month.
We arrived at the property and the house smelled like marijuana and all of the windows were open to air it out. It was 85 degrees in the house. I turned the air conditioner on and it did not work. I contacted the host and a repairman came out 3 hrs later. It took a total of 15 hours for the unit to cool the house down to 70 degrees. The cleanliness of the bathrooms were terrible. Soap scum and mold was all over both tubs. The mats in the bottom of the tubs were supposed to be white but were black from the dirt. The tile in the master shower looked like a kid installed them. Cracks everywhere and the tile floor had several cracks in it. The master bath door would wedge itself out on the wood flooring and did not operate properly. They had cut a hole.in the drywall.so the track of the door would fit. None of the doors in the house shut properly. So much caulking was used throughout the home to try and hide all of the flaws. The floor in the hallway had severe water damage and it felt like i was climbing a mountain to get out of the master bedroom. When taking a shower i had the water turned all of the way to hot and the water was barely luke warm. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.
