The house
Frøystad is a refined family home near fjords and glaciers on the West Coast of Norway. Designed for slowing down and spending time together, the experience enjoys open-plan living and light-filled spaces for connecting to the surrounding landscape. Ideal for adult couples, small groups, or families seeking a restful base from which to explore all that Nordfjord offers (skiing, mountain biking, fishing, hiking etc).

The location
Situated next to the village of Reed, the house overlooks Breimsvatnet Lake and is surrounded by mountain scenery. The town centre of Sandane, with shops, restaurants, and essential amenities, is just a short drive away (12.5 km). Sandane Airport (Sandane Lufthavn) is conveniently located 13.5 km from the house.

The space
The house offers generous, light-filled spaces designed for shared time and quiet moments alike.

There are three double bedrooms, all with open views to the surrounding mountains. Two bedrooms have double beds, and one has two single beds, making the house well suited to couples, friends, or families with older children. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.

At the centre of the home is a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. The dining table seats up to twelve. A central fireplace sits between the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas, creating a warm and social heart to the house.

The premium kitchen is equipped with a Gaggenau induction hob, two Gaggenau ovens (one of which is a steam oven), a wine fridge, and a full-size double-fronted refrigerator.

The dining room opens to the mountains and lake view through three large glass doors that can be fully retracted on warmer days, leading out onto a spacious veranda that wraps around the house. Guests are welcome to move freely between inside and outside and enjoy the surrounding views from the veranda.

There is a spacious garage with room for one car and an electric vehicle charger, as well as outdoor parking for two to three additional cars.

The house is surrounded by a large garden area, offering space to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. In front of the house are reclining seats arranged around an outdoor fire, which can also be used for barbecues. A full-size boules court also sits within the garden, offering space for relaxed games and time outdoors.

A utility room provides linen storage, a washing machine, and a dryer.
