Newly renovated Carriage House, on lovely property near Intercourse, PA

Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet ''Carriage House'' apartment located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. Many Lancaster County attractions are nearby: Kitchen Kettle, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, Amish Quilt Shops, Rockvale and Tanger Outlet Malls, Sight and Sound Millenium Theatre, Shady Maple Restaurant/Smorgasboard and other Restaurants with Amish Cooking, Buggy Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides.

Newly updated in January of 2025, originally the Carriage House was an out-building which has been transformed into a charming apartment with spacious high ceilings and cozy decor. It includes a flat-screen TV/DVD, comfortable seating area, dining table and kitchenette (sink/refrigerator/oven/microwave/coffee maker.) A separate bedroom includes an additional TV and a soft-as-a-cloud down comforter.

The spacious yard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color in the summer, or relax in the hammock. We own several chickens, and fresh eggs are available upon request.

Sometimes there are children playing outdoors or other family-related activities happening on the premises, but the Carriage House is in it's own space, and very private. There is accessible parking and easy access. It features large windows and a sunny quiet space to enjoy a vacation in this lovely part of the country.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking within the area. This property truly felt like a home for the time we spent in it, and was centrally located to all of the activities and attractions we wanted to visit. Everything was newly updated, highly functional, and the home couldn’t have been more clean! I have no complaints and would love to stay here again.

Great place for a family of 3!

The location of the property near farmland was peaceful to return to each evening. It was a short drive to a main grocery store as wall as many smaller shops, restaurants and attractions. Check-in was super simple and the host was quick to respond with the few questions I had. The Carriage House is nicely laid out and the kitchen had all the necessities for cooking. The pull out couch was the perfect sleeping situation for my 8-year-old. We’d love to return again if visiting the area!

“Clean and Cozy”

Formerly from PA and used this as our base while visiting family and friends in the area. Love the cleanliness and that everything needed for a weeks stay was provided. Used the well supplied kitchen for several meals. Bed and pillows were great. Such a quiet and relaxing place to return to each day and the grounds are lovely. Thank you to the wonderful owners.

BEST PLACE EVER!!

Since my husband and I have been married, this was THE BEST place we have stayed! Booking was easy and seemless, and the host communications were clear, timely, and above alk super friendly. Before we arrived, Tessa sent us all the information we would need including directions, parking, and how to get into the Carriage House.We felt like we were at home as soon ad we opened the door-- inviting decor, spotless rooms, those extras that might not have been packed (like deodorant, lotions, and toothbrushes and toothpaste). There were even some coupons for free coffee and an Amish Friendship cake waiting for us! Outside was a gazebo to sit at, and lots of grass to walk on. We were so impressed that we already started planning when we can return!

Beautiful Amish Country Estate

This is a wonderful Amish county getaway snuggled in the hills ! This little cottage is a perfect setting for relaxing, beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped with everything you would need , and all the little incidentals you may have forgotten. Nice getaway!

The carriage house was so nice and comfortable. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Owner even provided free coffee coupons for their shop in town as well as delicious friendship bread. What a treat. Would definitely return if we are in the area again.
