## Space

Nestled in lush greenery in Gouville-sur-Mer, a charming coastal village in the Manche department, this pretty, cosy and light-filled wooden cottage-style house welcomes you for a peaceful stay, just 1 km from the sea. Gouville-sur-Mer is renowned for its famous beach huts with colourful roofs, lined up facing the sea on a wild and authentic coastline. It is a unique setting, both poetic and typically Norman, which appeals to travellers in search of tranquillity and unspoilt landscapes.

As soon as you arrive, you will be charmed by the gentle, natural atmosphere of the place: large windows opening onto the outside, views of the countryside, a wooden terrace to enjoy sunny days, and a tasteful interior that combines modern comfort with a country feel.

The house offers three comfortable bedrooms for up to 6 adults, namely:
→ A master suite with a queen-size bed (160x200), private shower room and WC. Bed linen and towels are provided in this room.
→ A second bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200) and an office area. Bed linen and towels are provided in this room.

→ A third modular bedroom with up to four single beds (80x200) or one queen-size bed, ideal for children or a second family. Bed linen and towels are provided in this bedroom, except for a double bed, which is available at an additional cost of €12 on request. The linen will be available in a padlocked chest, which you can request from us subject to payment.

A bathroom with bath/shower and WC completes the sleeping area.

The bright living room, which opens onto the terrace, has a TV with Netflix, east, south and west facing windows, and a charming fixed bench seat facing west, perfect for reading or admiring the countryside.

The open-plan, modern and well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your meals as if you were at home: dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and all the necessary crockery for 8 people.

The house is also equipped with fibre optic broadband (very high speed Wi-Fi) for working or entertainment remotely.

Baby equipment (travel cot, changing table and bathtub) can be provided on request.

On request and for an additional £15 per stay, you can use a small gym area with yoga equipment and a bicycle. Please let us know if you would like to use this facility.

There is no private parking available with the accommodation. However, you can park your vehicle in the streets surrounding the accommodation at the rates in force in the city. The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, which is available 7 days a week from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 21:00. We thank you for taking care of the accommodation and respecting the premises and the neighbourhood. To this end, you will be asked to provide your bank details via a secure link in order to finalise your booking and obtain the access codes to the accommodation.

## Neighbourhood

The house is located in the centre of Gouville-sur-Mer in the Linverville district, on a street lined with typical stone houses. The house is visible from the street and therefore easy to find.

Located on the west coast of the Manche department (50), in the Normandy region, Gouville-sur-Mer is a peaceful and authentic seaside resort, nestled between Agon-Coutainville to the south and Blainville-sur-Mer to the north. It faces the Channel Islands and offers exceptional views of the sea, dunes and Normandy meadows. Just 1 hour from Caen, 1 hour 20 minutes from Mont-Saint-Michel and 1 hour 15 minutes from Cherbourg, Gouville-Sur-Mer is accessible by train via Coutances.

Gouville is best known for its wild beaches lined with natural dunes, but above all for its famous beach huts with colourful roofs, which have become emblematic of the coastline. These small huts, once used as changing rooms away from prying eyes, now form a picturesque scene that attracts photographers and lovers of unusual landscapes.

The village is also appreciated for its peaceful setting, local market, local shops, cycle paths and proximity to Coutances (about 15 minutes away), a dynamic town with a railway station, schools, services and remarkable architectural heritage.

In terms of activities, Gouville-sur-Mer appeals as much to lovers of long walks on the beach, water sports (sand yachting, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, etc.) as well as those seeking peace, authenticity and nature.

## Transport

There are several ways to get around Gouville-sur-Mer, depending on your needs: locally (within the town), to the beaches or to larger towns such as Coutances, Caen or even Paris. Here are the main transport options:

/ By car: Gouville-sur-Mer is a rural coastal town, so a car is the best way to get around easily, with quick access to Coutances (15 mins). Agon-Coutainville, Blainville-sur-Mer and Montmartin-sur-Mer are less than 20 mins away! Granville is 35-40 minutes away by car, Caen is 1 hour 15 minutes away, and Paris is 3 hours 30 minutes away via the A13 motorway.

/ By train (via Coutances). Gouville does not have a train station, but you can reach the Coutances station (15 minutes away by car), which serves: Caen: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes - Paris (Gare Saint-Lazare): approximately 3 hours (with a connection in Lison or Caen).

/ Shuttles or taxis between Gouville and the station can be booked in advance.

/ By bus (NOMAD network). The Nomad Car network offers intercity routes between towns in the Manche department. Line 2 (Granville – Coutances – Carentan) may sometimes serve nearby stops, but services are infrequent.

/ By bicycle. Gouville is a pleasant place to get around by bicycle, especially for going to the beach (less than 5 minutes depending on your accommodation), enjoying the coastal cycle paths and exploring the neighbouring villages (Anneville, Montmartin, etc.).

/ On foot. In the village of Gouville or by the sea, everything is within walking distance for your convenience: shops, beach, market, restaurants, bakery, etc.

## Notes

Arrivals are self-service for greater flexibility. They are from 4pm and departures must be no later than 11am.

Accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10am to 9pm). All our guests receive household linen, essential items for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) and one large towel per person, along with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel refreshment, replenishment of essential items, or delivery can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our tips with promotional codes from our selected partners, and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

Enjoying a rental also means following a few rules to ensure that everything goes smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the deposit! Please take care of the accommodation as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture and leave the premises clean when you leave. Follow the instructions regarding schedules and use of equipment, and respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. Please note that parties are strictly prohibited (€250 will be deducted from the deposit), the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€50 will be deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 will be deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us, and any loss, theft or damage will be charged at the actual replacement value.
