Custom log cabin nestled in Powderhorn Ski Resort. Great in winter or summer.

Stay here and see why they call it Colorful Colorado. Nestled high on the Grand Mesa, at the Powderhorn Mountain Ski Lodge, is a custom built, log home. This cabin is located near numerous 'things to do', including skiing, rafting, fishing, hiking, atv riding trails, and scenic driving. This cabin sits at the base of the Powderhorn Ski Lodge with convenient ski in access out the back door. Ski in the back door from the ski runs. Ski out is either cli ming up the hill or a short walk or driving around the corner to ski area.
There are hundreds of lakes within just a few miles to fish and canoe, and many different trails for bicycling, atv riding, jeep trails, and much more. The Grand Mesa is the perfect getaway for any season with so much to do in them all. Mesa also is only an hour away from Grand Junction, Colorado, and bigger 'city' attractions, as well as the Colorado National Monument, Fruita, Colorado, the mountain biking capital of the world, and Palisade, Colorado, known for its wineries and vineyards. Powderhorn Ski Area is now offering lift tickets to the top of the mountain for mountain biking.

The cabin is large enough to sleep 15, also if you like floor room for sleeping bags. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and two full baths downstairs and 1 king bed in master BR. A large upper game/sleeping room, there is 1queen sofa sleepers upstairs, a full bed and 4 twin beds.
1 full bath upstairs.
There are 3 bathrooms, a full working kitchen, hot tub out back.

A small guest cottage to sleep 2 more people. This little cabin has no water or bathroom, it has electricity, heat, microwave, frig, tv for movies and queen bed.
There is also a sunroom and covered sitting area .on the back of the house.

We now have Internet for those guests who would like to use it.

We have a fire pit. It can be used unless our county has a fire ban.

There is a hot tub, it not a huge one.

Easy walk to lodge ski in right to house off unmarked run @ intersection of Cannonball & Greenhorn runs. Our party of 13 adults very comfortable using the little cabin which was cozy & comfortable using the cute fireplace space heater. Hostrresponsive!

Fun weekend at Powderhorn!

Great house and great location for skiing. Some of us skied in and a few did the short uphill hike to "ski out". The Owner was quick to communicate with us. When we return to Powderhorn, we will stay here again.

Great Home but needs some TLC

We were please with the house itself. The interior is spacious and well furnished. But we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house and with the fact that the listing fails to disclose the presence of several exterior cameras. Those things aside it is in a nice quiet neighborhood

Perfect Family Ski Vacation

It's a cute house with plenty of room. The hot tub was by far the best feature! The last day we got about 6 inches of snow that made it quite a challenge for our two wheel drive rental to get up the last hill to the house. But they had plowed by the next day. The highway leading up to Powderhorn was always clear.

Great mountain home

We had a great stay at this mountain home! It had all the comforts of home, wonderfully comfortable beds, nice bedding, perfectly stocked kitchen, in a beautiful location. The loft area was a big hit with the kids. The location is perfect for skiing as long as someone helped shuttle the gear. We would definitely enjoy staying here again, possibly in the summer for nearby mountain biking or fishing.

2024 Kick Off

Amazing property and hosts!

We booked this trip with the intention of having a friend’s ski trip to remember forever and because of this house, we truly did! The hosts obviously care about the house and their guests. The amenities were organized and thorough, the check in and out process was simple, and the hot tub stayed hot even while it was single digits outside. I really cannot think of one thing that I would change. We plan on coming back before the season is over. One of the best houses I’ve ever stay at.

Great place close to Powerhorn Ski Resort

We had a great time at this place. We had a total of 13 people in our group, and we did not fill cramped. The little cabin out back gave extra room for our sleeping arrangements. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, wash clothes, cups, pans, etc for our entire group. The location to the slopes was great. Only took about 4 min to drive and drop people off. We did have the luxury of some in our group not wanting to ski so they could just drop us off. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions through VRBO. Several of my questions were answered within minutes especially during the time we are at the house. I really liked the book about the house that helped us understand certain aspects of the house that you would not know off the top of your head...especially the list of how to close up the house before leaving. I would recommend this place to anyone with a large family looking to take in some great views of the area and wants to be in close proximity to Powderhorn.

Best Ski Getaway Cabin

My family absolutely loves this cabin. It is in the perfect location for our annual powderhorn ski weekend, and it is a spacious and comfortable home to stay in. I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone looking to ski powderhorn or explore the Mesa.
