Terrible staff and service.

The staff was awful. We had to wait to check in because she was lounging watching a movie on her phone. Then when we had a request for an extra pillow, she gave a face to us like what do you want and was rude about it saying they don't have extra pillows. When I went downstairs to get help with our tv which was frozen she also gave me a look like what do you want so I asked her if there was a particular problem and she said no. I asked again about an extra pillow and she said she can't because they had to be washed and there were 3 properties using the laundry facilities. I've never been treated so rudely by hotel staff in my life. I will not be staying again.

I had arrived at 9pm for checkin. The front desk was closed, but thankfully they had left an envelope with my keys to get in. The sink in the bathroom had standing water in it, and the stopper wouldn't pop up to let it drain. I had to pull it out my hand through the dirty water. The bathroom fan would make a weird noise for around 5 minutes and then eventually turn on with a grinding loud noise. The thermostat didn't work, and the room was a sauna, making it very uncomfortable to sleep in. Staff was friendly when I met them in the morning. Great views, but the property could use some maintenance.

Disappointing Property

This property has a million dollar view, BUT be warned….our lakeview room was very worn, windows wouldn’t shut and there was a breeze, toilet kept getting stuck running, mold in the shower and bathroom had stains on the wall, carpet and furnishings very worn and dated. The staff was super helpful and I know this is beyond their scope of work, but the property needs a major renovation. I guess I just expected more from a property in this location and that beautiful view. Won’t stay again, too bad.

Cold dirty terrible

Front desk was closed at 615pm when we showed up. It said it was open until 9pm. Hotels.com or the hotel double booked didn't get the room asked for never was contacted. Heat didn't heat above 60 degrees. Bathroom floor was damp and slimy. Was one of the nastiest rooms ive ever stayed in. But the bed did seem clean. Was told no refund available.

The view and the friendly staff are the only positives about this place. The room was an absolute dump, cob webs in the ceilings, stains in the carpet, and ripped carpet. Also, the thermostat was broken and it was about 90 degrees when we entered for the first time. Thankfully the windows functioned well enough to open them and let cool air come in to cool the room down because adjusting the thermostat did nothing. I also overheard other customers complaining of the same issue in their room. If all you care about is a beautiful view (it was the one thing that made not want to get a different hotel) and friendly staff, then go here. If you like a room that doesn't look like it hadn't been fixed in 30 years, then don't go here. I won't be returning.

The view is outstanding and the staff is nice, but that's about all I can say about this property. The room was boiling and the thermostat didn't work and the heat adjustment on the shower didn't work either. The bed was old and soft and the furnishings in the room were very run down. I couldn't recommend.

Agree with previous reviews, excessive heat in the rooms, no coffee maker, no available electrical outlets, poor water pressure, and strange door lock system. The price is right, though, and I would stay here again.

Don’t waste your money

When I arrived it was 80 in the room despite it being 40 outside. I turned the thermostat off and opened all the windows. Found a fan in the closet and went to dinner. Came back & it was 75. When i went to leave in the morning, the push button that opens the front door before the front desk opens up did not work and i had to haul my bags out the back door to the patio & around the building to my vehicle.

I was hesitant about booking because of other reviews. Because we were there in the fall we didn't need air conditioning so no idea if that works. Carpet in room was not the cleanest. Beds and bathroom were clean and everything else was clean. I will stay there again. Loved the view.

This hotel serviced our needs excellently. You can’t beat the location next to the lake and businesses. We enjoyed the morning sunrises with easy access to the deck. We could have enjoyed them from the room but chose the deck. The deck is also a great place to meet and chit chat with others who are staying. We had a bonfire one night. This is not a fancy hotel and things are outdated - but we aren’t fancy people. No complaints on cleanliness. Breakfast served its purpose.
