Looking for some OC excitement? Ocean City, MD is a short 45 minute drive away. Here, life takes a slower pace - sipping wine as you watch the sun sink into the Chincoteague Bay, or the joy you feel watching the kids catch Crabs off the Community Pier. The Shore Shanty is a beautiful Brand New Custom Home in Captain’s Cove, and is just full of surprises! Sitting on a peaceful and serene shaded lot, you’ll be close to everywhere you want to be, but still feel a million miles away from the real world. And what’s even better? You can bring your well-trained family dog at no additional cost - because THEY are family, too!

Upon entering, you’ll be swept away by the Colors of Sand and Sea, and flooring reminiscent of a stroll on the Boardwalk. This isn’t just any vacation rental - The Shore Shanty is full of delights for the whole family! Every room has a theme, and every piece of furniture has a drawer full of surprises - both the kids - and the kid in you - will adore it!

You’ll love kicking back in the Living Area after a fun-filled day at the Beach or at the Pools, and enjoying Free WiFi and Flat Screen Streaming TV. There’s plenty of comfy furnishings, and the layout is perfect for spending time together without ever feeling crowded. Full of Local Art, there’s something to enjoy in every room in this beautiful home.

Just off the Dining Area, you’ll find the Chef’s Kitchen, with all the comforts of home, gleaming Granite Countertops, and Stainless Appliances - mealtime will be a bay breeze! Dine in the comfort of Central AC in the Dining Area, or Al-Fresco on the furnished Deck under the shade trees. Not one to cook on Vacation? We’ve got you covered! The Marina Club Restaurant is just down the street, and has fabulous Bayfront Dining!

The Shore Shanty sleeps 6 (occupancy strictly enforced) in pure comfort and style in 3 Bedrooms and with 2 Full Baths. Bedroom 1 - aka The Bird Room - has a Queen Bed, and is beautifully decorated with Custom Art, and muted, relaxing tones, sure to make you feel light as a feather. The Private Attached Bath has a Custom Walk-in Shower. Down the Hall, Bedroom 2 also has a Queen and is decorated with a Floral Theme - so peaceful and relaxing. The kids will go bonkers over Bedroom 3 - the Under the Sea Room - which has 2 Twin Beds, and is nothing short of magical! The kids will slumber with whimsical Jellyfish lights overhead, and stars twinkling on the ceiling. They’ll play for hours in the Under The Sea tent, and find surprises in every corner, closet, and in every drawer. Boredom is not a word you’ll hear on this Vacation, that’s for sure! There is a 2nd Full Bath with Tub/Shower Combo that is shared, and also convenient to the Living Area.

Captain’s Cove is loaded with amenities - a Golf Course, Indoor Pool, 2 Outdoor Pools - 1 Bayfront with Tiki Bar, Fitness Center, Playground, Restaurant, and Snack Bar. Guests may purchase Amenity Passes ($15/pp per day or $75/pp per week) for the pools by the day or the week, and must be purchased in advance.- contact us for more information. More of a beach person? One of the most gorgeous, cleanest beaches in America, Assateague Island National Park, is only 20 minutes down the street, and is also home to our Famous Wild Ponies!
