We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home was clean, and had ample room for the 7 of us. The kitchen was adequate and had all the necessary cutlery and crockery. There was a grill on the deck outside. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. The youngster ( 21 yrs old) in our group enjoyed playing all the games in the lower level. I have to mention: we did not have a view of the lake. We had to drive to the lake. And the floorboards upstairs creaked a lot . The staircase too. As well as the bedroom door and the bathroom door upstairs. It disturbed all who slept downstairs. This can easily be taken care of by adding a few rugs and tread pads, and oiling the hinges of the doors. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you to the hosts , for making it a comfortable home for your guests. Will definitely recommend.
The property was great! It accomodated us all very well and very private. Very clean and well equipped except for some cleaning materials( no sponge or cloth to clean utensils or tableware) or dishwasher pods. Small little inconvenience, but still had to drive back into town to get supplies that we thought were provided. You will need to provide your own tin foil, syran wrap, napkins etc.Just a suggestion, but if renters are able to use some kayaks at the association beach, is there some way to distinguish which ones are available to use? There were many there to choose from. Very confusing.Overall a great stay and are looking forward to coming back next year.
We had to share the house with big black ants. One of our company found ants in their bed.
However, the management was responsive to a toilet issue, came right way and fixed.
The listing was not accurate in the game room condition. The foosball table is broken, and the pool sticks are unusable, and apparently from past reviews will not be replaced anytime soon. (So no pool either)
The fire table is unusable as well.
It is a ride to the water, and that is the only way to cool down as the house has no way to cool down itself. (No air conditioning, one ceiling fan, one box fan)
If youâre interested in ATVing triple check the trails. No access from the house so far this year.
It is a good thing they got the internet to work!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would strongly recommend this cabin to other families. We had loads of fun playing games and doing family breakfasts. A few things that need attention. The downstairs bed wasn't comfortable to my parents. The lack of some items such as liquid hand soap required us to run back to town. No big deal.
The lack of internet was very inconvenient. We couldn't keep in touch with one another while we were on different adventures.
Cabin was very nice and comfortable. Location is quiet and relaxing. The wifi and internet connections could be better, but in the end it was nice to be away from technology for a few days!
Very good cozy cabin, but with no access to closets and garage
Visited for a week[In last week of December with Ample snow and cold weather]
Pros :
1. Vicinity to fun outdoor activities for family like state parks.
2. Cabin is beautiful and was very clean.
3. Game room is truly fun for family.
4. Kitchen is most ideal with lot of space & enough appliances & Utensils.
5. Bathrooms has enough towels and were ideal for our family. With laundry room a week's stay is manageable.
6. Books and Board games were available for entertainment.
7. Beds, beddings and furniture matches the cabin. And was nice to sit around and relax with family.
8. Cabin is not too secluded but well separated from other households so we could go and have fun in snow.
Cons :
1. All closets as seen in pictures[Not locked] are not accessible. Only few bed side drawers were accessible. Even dingy hotels provide closets to keep your luggage. We had few mishaps as luggage was lying around. This was reported Vacasa and was told we can't help you there. Just how am I suppose to manage week's days luggage for 10 people without closets?
2. 2 Parking garage doors as seen in pictures, are not available for tenets. why not clearly write that? In cold weather, it's important to have an indoor parking to avoid slip and fall.
3. One night we had no hot water or heater on. Power to heating room was down. Electrician who came to help told was due to faulty switch. We had to gather around fire pit. No wood was provided for even 1 day. we had to go and purchase. Positive is they sent a guy who did fix the problem and early morning hours we had heat and next morning we had hot water available.
4. One TV was old with dvd player but no dvds. Few DVDs of popular movies with those would have been nice.
5. Internet was very slow and spotty.
6. Enough cooking utensils but lids are missing.
Upon on arriving everything was perfectly placed and clean, just as I had expected. However, upon entering the cabin's interior the thermostat was registering 56 degrees. I turned the heat up to 70. I looked around for firewood but there was none.
When I rented the cabin a week prior I had sent an email asking about firewood or anything else I needed to bring but did not receive a response.
I found the binder with rental info which stated I must purchase firewood in town. Would have been nice to know beforehand. My friend arrived and we dashed into town and got firewood and dinner. Upon return to the house it was even colder!!We lit the fire and started checking the thermostats. We found the contact info for management on fridge. I txt and after a few msgs a repair man was on his way. It was quite late but just after midnight the repair was supposedly complete. The tech did inform us it would take a while to heat, so we stayed by the fire for warmth.
The next morning we woke to 60 degrees and I went straight to bathroom to get hot shower..to my surprise, NO HOT WATER. I called again, they said they would make a partial return credit and send service repair man immediately or we could change cabins. We chose to stay put because we were ready to go exploring and didn't want to waste time moving. (They sent tech out within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately when the previous tech made a repair he didn't turn the breaker back on for the hot water) So we had to start our second day with no showers and still freezing.
I asked the management to send for at least a partial refund since half our stay was without heat or hot water. They responded it would be 2 wks. Today is 2 wks, no credit :( But I got the email to review my stay..so there it is. Otherwise the cabin was beautiful and comfy and I would have had NO other complaints if I had been returned credit. Because stuff happens! I hope the next guest enjoy :)
